How do Spurs fans not know about the failed Elliott to Houston trade?
How does whottt nottt know? Go figure.
Shane wore 11 with the Spurs, in his short stay here.
Whottt, I forgot all about your unanswered questions. I'll have to go back and find them I guess.
How do Spurs fans not know about the failed Elliott to Houston trade?
How does whottt nottt know? Go figure.
Thanks, in that case the answer to the easy part of your question is probably the aspect of the Eliott Horry question that inspired you to ask the question in the first place...and it would be that answer twice.
And I really don't remember his number.
And shame on everyone for not getting "it" on the other Ed Jones that played pro sports in Texas![]()
Good lord! It gets discussed about 20 times a season on this forum.
In the classics, idiot, you will see a thread about David Robinson, started by yourself no less, in which it is obvious I am very aware of that trade.
On question number two, I know that Bill Russell won a le in his last year (1969). I'll also guess Boston teammates Frank Ramsey, Tommy Heinsohn, Jim Loscutoff.
Billy Gabor with the Syracuse Nationals.
The reason I'm guessing on the above is I don't really know if they won their first games, but I can tell you that I do know they won they their last games in the NBA Finals and they played for their respective teams their entire careers.
Uh oh whottt is pissed. It's not surprising you didn't know about that, given your whitewashed view of David Robinson's career prior to the arrival of Tim Duncan in San Antonio.
I would think Bill Russell would be one of the guys in question #1.
David Robinson: A Career Examined
Suck it. Too bad I can't remember jersey numbers like I can arguments.
By the way, that was one of your more intelligent personalities/mood swings/whateverthe in that thread. You should try and bring him to the surface more often.
Well the only answer I was looking for was Russell. After doing some research I am almost certain you are right about Heinson, and Loscutoff but I think you are wrong about Ramsey. And thanks for the help on that one BTW.
Russell was good enough though.
Quesion #1. The final man that no one mentioned was Dr. J
Bird, Magic, Drob and Dr.J.
Magic was pretty impressive, he won the division every year of his career pre HIV except for 2 times .
Bill Russell and the Celtics finished 4th in their division in 68-69...I guess the Celtics cutting back on his quota of 5 other HOF teamates got to him that season. He did still win the le though...
Don't worry whottt, you're not the first individual who's descended into hysterical stupidity at my hands.
Acutally, go youself. I descend into hystarical stupidity on my own terms , when and where I want to do it, don't even ing think you can control it.
Oooh. I'm scared. Are you going to unleash a 1000 word filibusttter on me? I shudder at the thought.
You can't do jack to me. You're just blips on a screen.
Is the trival link here that you guys can argue for pages about things that matter only to the two of you?

Lemme think about another question to get us back on track.
Going to go ahead an answer these since the time limit has expired.
1.Name the 4 players who never finished lower than second place in their division in a season in which they were healthy(in a career spanning 10 years or more).
Arob, Magic, Dr.J and Bird.
2.Name the players who won the first game of their careers in the regular season as a rookie and won the last game of their career in the NBA finals, playing for the same team throughout.
Arob and Russell for sure. Probably Heinsohn and Loscutoff, Billy Gabor. Ramsey has an outside chance.
Since ABC said Drob was the 6th player in history to do it in the final game of his career, and the last was Bill Russell, I think Solid D has nailed it in an excellent job of guessing. Props to Solid D
3.Name the first 3 players to finish the season ranked in the top 10 in 5 different statistical categories.
Aavid Robinson 91-92, Larry Bird 89-90, Cliff Hagan 59-60.
I believe they are still the only theee players to do it. At least according to Dave's bio at NBA.com.
4.Name the last player to shoot 1000% from the field in an NBA finals game(minimum 7 shots)
A:John Paxon. Sigh.
5.Name the only 2 players in NBA history to lead all players in blocks pg and rebounds pg in a single postseason.
Aavid Robinson 97-98, Kareem Abdul Jabbar 77-78
1.What team had the second biggest single season positive turn around in NBA history?(winning many more games than the previous season).
That should be an easy one...kinda like that Horry Elliott question.
2.What team had the second biggest single season negative turn around in NBA history?(losing many more games than the previous season)
The biggest negative turn around was the 98-99 Bulls after MJ's second retirement(Strike shortened season true, but it extrapolates to 49 games).

Here are two-related questions:
1. Identify the last team to win the NBA championship that did not have a single player on its roster who played collegiately in the Atlantic Coast Conference (and whether it's regular season or playoff rosters, the answer is the same).
2. Identify the last team to win the NBA championship that did not have a single player on its roster who played collegiately for a team from the state of North Carolina.
No clue. Don't watch much college ball any more and not uptodate on the conferences.
Gonna go with the 98-99 Spurs on this one.2. Identify the last team to win the NBA championship that did not have a single player on its roster who played collegiately for a team from the state of North Carolina.
That Duncan kid played at Wake Forest, which is in Winston-Salem, NC -- didn't say "University of North Carolina"
ACC (I'll even include the new members -- at no additional cost):
Clemson
Duke
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Maryland
Miami
North Carolina
North Carolina State
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Wake Forest
Then gonna go with...Not the Rockets cuz of Kenny Smith...
The Pistons from 88-89, 89-90.
Hmmm...Maybe the Bullets.
If you're talking no players from NC, the 89-90 Pistons are correct. That team had a single ACC player: John Salley. But Salley played at Georgia Tech and, thus, not in NC.
As to the broader ACC question, the Bullets is incorrect. Mitch Kupchek played at UNC.
Yes I mean that as the answer to question #2.
Let's try 79-80 Lakers. As to the broader ACC question, the Bullets is incorrect. Mitch Kupchek played at UNC.
