    Good. Got it to 8.

This is the Spurs fault. Not the refs. The Suns haven't done anything different. Each man in white has to sit in that locker room and look inside and realize that he and his teammates are to blame for a horrible 1st half. Stop complaining and passing blame, nut up and play the game. Even a decent to good 1st half and the Spurs would be in control, but they failed to show up. Now's the time to nut up.

They got this if they go take it.

The Spurs look like they have absolutely no game plan whatsoever
I don't know about that...Spurs have done a good job neutralizing Nash. He only has 3 points and about 5 assists. They got Shaq in foul trouble and rendered him useless in the first half. Their transition D has limited the Suns fast breaks.

Problems are the Suns bench; Diaw/Barbosa came in and gave them a lift. Meanwhile for the Spurs, Finley, Parker, and Ginobili are having bad games. Udoka isn't playing good defense. Bowen is taking bad shots (off the dribble). Spurs offense is once against stagnant.

If Brent Barry doesn't hold up for the Spurs, they're toast. That timely 3 pointer he gave them to start the 9-3 end makes you realize just how badly they miss him or any reliable 3 point shooter.

Spurs were just pretending to suck in the first half, there's no way that manu and tony continue shooting at 25%

    Manu 1-7
    Parker 3-9

They're both playing awful, The difference is Tony is missing defensive assignments and fouling(he gave up an easy 5 points with stupid fouls)

The beginning of the end for the San Antonio Spurs. An amazing 10 year run has finally come to a close. The end of the Tim Duncan era.

^Is what the media will be saying if the Spurs lose this big.
So we hadn't completed the first half of a seven game series and its over??? Shut the up. Idiot.

Ouch, that 3 pointer by Ginobili had no arch whatsoever.

Spurs end on 9-3 run. Cut lead down to 8 in the first half. Barbosa and Diaw hurting the Spurs...
    Was a pure straight line

Second half should be the Timmay show.
1st half was all TD. Second half Manu goes off and seals the deal.

If barry can, he needs to play all of Fins minutes.

Mike's either off or on and today he's off.

Barry will spread the floor alot better, and open up things in the middle for Manu and Tony. The drive and kick needs to get them back in this game.

Totally agree. I think the spurs will be better off with barry getting finleys minutes.

Would've been sweet if Manu had taken an extra second to get planted...could be a 5-point game now. The Spurs better explode outta the gate in the second half, or this will be a loss.

If Parker and Ginobili halfway show up in that half the SPurs are winning.

No worries, Parker and ESPECIALLY Ginobili, will bounce back.

Wilbon spouting gloom-and-doom, but I can't disagree with him. The Spurs know exactly how to erase a double-digit Suns lead. I'm not comfortable at all.

not just that but a motion offense from barry is much needed against the suns that's why the suns are the worst matchup for the spurs in the 1st round

It's stunning to me that it is so clear what needs to be done, and yet, they still suck ass. All of that time without Shaq should have resulted in layup after layup. Poor shooting, bad turnovers . . . the Spurs should be up, and instead, they are down 8. It's not insurmountable - it's a couple of rebounds, and it's a couple of stops.

But the playing like ass - what is it that gets into them? They played beautifully in Utah when something was on the line? Why can they not replicate that? We know that they can do better - why do they seem dazed and inconfident?

Shaq should come out and look to score early in the 3rd and get in the game. Duncan may score 40 but that won't be enough for the Spurs. It is clear that the Suns are stronger than the Spurs this year.

only reasons spurs are down is because the shots didn't fall. there were a lot of in and out shots that'll go down in the 2nd half.

Yeah he had more time to shoot. Looked like he thought he had less time than he did.

The Spurs climbed back because the Suns had to sit Amare, Diaw, AND Shaq. Kind of hard to score points when your entire frontline is out. The Spurs didn't do anything magical.

All I know is I'm glad I was never in a fox hole with most of the people on here. Amazing how many people give up before the end of the 1st half of game 1. Composure seems to be a four letter word around here.

Tony DID drive to the hoop, but he kept getting fouled and refs swallowed their whistles
