Simmons could sign via EQR a 4 year, $35,138,880 contract. Only restriction is Spurs have to fit everyone under $125,226,000 hardcap
He shot 37% from 3 last year. He can play off ball if needed. I doubt thats that's why he came thoigh, spurs needed a player who could have the ball in their hands outside of kawhi. When kawhi disappeared , so did the spurs offense. Pop talked to him one on one before he came, so I'm sure they're on the same page as well.
Him at Dyckman with Kyle 3 or 4 days ago.... Real possibility he wasn't just there to play and socialize with Kyle's crew and family but fir business reasons and then just happened to visit and hang out with his friend...

The Spurs still need a playmaking wing, and please don't force Manu into that role anymore (if he comes back), or at least take some pressure off Manu. They also need a center after Gasol.
Barring no trades, I don't see how the Spurs keep Simmons without extending Pau's deal farther out than one year and avoid the tax.

I think Pau will return(sadly), but I would be fine with Gay/Kyle/Bertans at 4 and Aldridge/backup C at the 5..
They had an obvious handshake agreement with Pau. Opt out and we'll pay you the same one way or another. They aren't going back on that. I was hopeful another team would sign him, but that's really unlikely given the lack of money out there right now.

Ersan for the LLE makes sense if they don't bring back Simmons but go bring over Hanga and Milutinov. Would get them someone who can start at PF and space the floor while also being a legit big. Plus, it would fulfill a lifelong quest for me to see Ilyasova in a Spurs uniform.
