So I find something by Gillian Welch, she's in that Hazel ens school of Appalacian hillbilly. So I open the case to see what kind of condition the CD is in.....it's empty (no unlike some places they don't keep the CD's behind the counter). Totally bummed me out.

Standing in my Fortress of Solitude looking for my next book to read and what to listen to. Over there my 4000 strong sci fi/sword&sorcery/horror the supernatural, authors like Robert Heinlein, Isacc Asimov, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft. Next to those books my westerns, about 2000 of them, here we find Max Brand, Zane Grey, Luke Short and the great Louis L'Amour. Next to that my non fiction, here we find all those books on Islam, the black experience, bio's, the history of Rock&Roll, Blues, Body Building, track etc etc. On the other wall all my James Patterson, John Steinbeck, Hermann Hesse, Hemingway, ens, Fitzgerald, Jack London, James Lee Burke, Lee Child. All in all over 10 000 to choose from, have read about half of them. So what did I end up with.....Lee Childs.... AFFAIR, a Jack Reacher novel.

Now, what to listen to, hmmmmm? This sometimes takes a good 5 minutes, just how do you pick something out of 6000 CD's/tapes? (I need a new turn table, a 1000 records going to waste) Bo Jones, Papa Egg S , Baby Tate, The Why Store, Gypsy, Eddie Cochran, Jackie Shane, The Silences, Kolvane, And it goes on forever, so....??? But after...nay..nay..nope...nay......Kelly Joe Phelps.

The issue is not what you read in a book. It is whether you actually understand what you read. I do not know what book you are talking about, so I cannot speak to your question, which I can only guess is to deflect the conversation from your ignorance, or if you prefer, "mental weakness".

*If* you understood what you read to any depth, you should be able to easily answer the question, it is very basic. All I have to do to prove my point that you don't understand the theory you criticize is simply show you unable/unwilling to answer the question.
