they are expensive as for the really good ones.
plus all the tubing and valves are replaceable for a new mom at low cost ($25- 30 for that as opposed to $250 - $350 foir a whole brand new unit) or they can be removed boiled (sanitized) and replaced.
some very nice ladiesd will give them away on freecycle.... but I'm not that nice. i want some of my $$ back.

But hey...if she wants it and is going to pay for it.......tell her I've got a couple of vibrators in various states of disrepair I can part with on the cheap.

All hospitols offer the heavy duty ones for rent on a monthly basis. maybe I should call them up and let them know that it;s gross. even tho all the tubing and valves are changed out in between customers.

One reason hospitals freak me out.
Saliva and breast milk are totally different things to me. You might casually kiss someone at a party, but under normal cir stances you don't attach yourself to someone's lactating breast. Not that breast milk is dirty or anything, but I tend to think of it as a substance you don't normally share.We can say the same with silverware and plates at restaurants.
