This off-season, the spurs will lose cojo for nothing, or continue to have a major logjam at point guard. How does a statement like that fit in a Bertans thread? Here's a hint, stats have nothing to do with it.
Hopefully Bertans will be joining next season to replace Daye. CoJo could be gone too if he gets better offer and playing time somewhere...maybe Spurs will bring in Cotton from DLeague to replace CoJo. I like JaMichael Green from Dleague Spurs to replace Ayers. Two cheap players that know the system.

Today marks the start of Euroleague Top 16 for most teams. Bertans, Thomas and Dangubic are all in action with their teams and the games should be pretty fun.
Schedule:
Home Away Time Preview Other interesting players to watch Crvena Zvezda (Nemanja Dangubic) Real Madrid 19:00 CET Two high tempo teams who will look to run at every single opportunity. If you like scoring this is your game. Boban Marjanovic (C, 2.21m, strong rebounder and good touch around the rim) Alba Berlin FC Barcelona (Deshaun Thomas) 20:00 CET Pretty much the opposite of the first game, this will probably be a grindfest with both teams playing tough D. Mario Hezonja (SG, very athletic even for NBA standards, projected Top 10 pick) Laboral Kutxa Vitoria (Davis Bertans) Anadolu Efes 21:00 CET The big story here is Thomas Heurtel leaving Vitoria and immediately facing his old team again. Dario Saric
Thanks for the schedule jyra.
Yeah, thanks always like reading your post "Jyra" please keep up the good work. Hey does Hanga play with Bertans?
Not this season. Hanga has been loaned to Avellino, an Italian team.

There were some very strange coaching decisions in this game. For some reason the coach thought it would be smart to take Bertans and Begic off the floor in crunch time even though they were responsible for creating a big part of the offense. Predictably the offense couldn't get any decent looks down the stretch.
At the end of the game Bertans airballed a heavily contested 3 from well behind the line that would have tied the game. I have no idea if that was the intended shot but he did hit one of those earlier in the game.
Jugde for yourself (at around 1:05):
Really poor play design. There was a screen set off the ball but it was obvious that the opponents would switch everything in that situation. He could have passed up that shot with so much time remaining in the game but there was no movement from the other players.

Latvia's Davis Bertans bounces backhttp://www.fiba.com/news/latvias-dav...s-bounces-backHis career was on the up.
But in June of 2013, while playing for Partizan Belgrade, Bertans tore his right ACL and had to hit the sidelines for nine months.
He is playing again now, this time for Spanish club Laboral Kutxa and is showing the same confidence and talent, especially his long-range shooting, that helped put the 2.08m forward on the map.
Averaging more than 11 points per game and shooting well from behind the arc (22 of 63, 34.9 percent), Bertans helped Laboral overcome a difficult stretch to reach the Top 16 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
Making it through tough times is something that Bertans is accustomed to.
"I've had a lot of problems since (EuroBasket 2011)," he said to FIBA.com, "but I just kept the goal in my mind, kept pushing myself and I think that has been the biggest motivation.
"I had a great rehab and came back stronger and better.
"The rehab was probably the hardest part but in the end, I had expected something harder. In the end, it came very easy, those nine months."
Playing in Spain has so far been good for Bertans.
When he was going through his rehab, Bertans was driven by the desire to show he can play with the best players in the best league, the NBA.
That is still at the front of his thoughts.
"I have a three-year contract but there is an NBA buyout after every season," he said.
"San Antonio own my NBA rights.
"I got lucky that my rights got traded to San Antonio.
"That’s my goal."
I wish Bertans would go on anti-spurs twitter rants.
Why? Do you NEVER want to see him here? Because, I guarantee you that wouldn't work with PATFO.
Draft and stash is garbage. I want Bertans to free himself of spurs fo bs. I want him to dominate against the spurs, in spite.
Im going full on Anakin Skywalker spurs fan mode.
you're pretty dumb tbh
One of the best opportunities for player development has taken place. Splitter, mills, kawhi, beli, tony, and the usual rest. Lots of excess minutes to spread around. Spread them on Bonner or spread them on Bertans?
Yeah, look what happened to him.
Anakin Skywalker saves the galaxy. He's dumb is a part of the story that even dumber people would get stuck on.
In the end, power doesn't matter. Vision is most important.
Uh, LUKE Skywalker saves the galaxy, and Anakin's black-hearted corrupt ass. Star Wars much?
Watch the end of return of the jedi again. Keep in mind exactly what you've said.
