Hornets have a pretty decent frontcourt. They've held their own for the most part. If that wasn't the case then this series would already be over. And this is with West out.

Landry gives Gasol/Odom more problems than West ever could. He's part of the reason the Houston series went the distance.
Not really. Gasol can't guard West. Never has, never will. Plus, West's mid-range jumper is more reliable than Landry and West is a much better rebounder than Landry. Landry's rebounding has been poor this series and all season. Also, having West starting would allow Landry to come off the bench to help the 2nd unit. West is frankly a better player than Landry.
But it would not be enough to win the series because the Hornets don't have reliable wing scorers.
And a better matchup for Odom/Gasol.
This would have been a 5 game series had West been healthy.
West is bigger and stronger than Landry and just better overall. Odom gives him trouble, but West can score on Gasol. Plus, that would allow Landry to come off the bench whenever Odom comes in. Landry has been a liability when it comes to rebounding against Gasol. West isn't a great rebounder, but he's better than Landry because he's bigger mostly.
Anyway, the point is someone made a comment that the Hornets have a bad frontcourt and I was saying that isn't true. Hornets have a pretty solid frontcourt. Its their perimeter players that are lacking.
And more of a pussy. It isn't about beings bigger and no, West is not stronger than Landry IMO. Landry can get under Pau/Odom's base and their games up. He can also go right around their defense or box out quite easily. Both have historically had trouble against him. Bynum too.
I agree, but it's still a quick and dirty 5 game series had West played.
Hornets are paper soft. Kobe on one leg floated into the lane with absolutely no payback last night like it was a pre season game. Pacers hammered Rose for 5 games. I have yet to see any sign of backbone out of the Hornets
Pacers would defeat the 1-man Hornets. If Paul isn't having a career game then your team does nothing more than chuck 3's.
LOL, your team struggled against a 37-45 team in the East. Bulls got exposed for what they are. A man one team. Boozer sucks. He couldn't hack it in the West and couldn't do crap against Duncan or the Lakers. Noah's solid. Deng is overrated. You guys will get by Orlando/Atl, but reality will strike and you guys are going home after that.
Hornets pounded the Pacers right before the playoffs started and they would do so in a 7 game series. Pacers are a terrible team. They only looked good because the Bulls aren't that great. They're a 60 win fraud just like the Spurs were. Besides, Hornets aren't even a 3-point shooting team. You making that comment shows how stupid you are.
Landry was stronger, he wouldn't be a much worse rebounder. His rebounding has been terrible this series. Plus, he hasn't done much offensively. He's playing good man-to-man defense, but that's it. Hornets miss West's offense. He's a reliable scorer. Landry isn't as consistent. Plus, Landry would be able to come off the bench and get more PT against Odom. Besides, the Hornets won two games because of Paul mostly. Yeah he had some support, but not that much.
Landry's base is much stronger. Defensively, it is for sure.
Landry has been punking the out of Lamar all series. And he rotuinely goes right by Gasol for easy layups. The only time his offense struggles is when Bynum is forced to slide over and help, which opens up the paint.
Says the guy that was pimping out Gray. West would be getting 35+ minutes and that means even less PT for Gray, which would hurt their interior defense immensely. West is a huge vagina anyway and has never done anything of note in the postseason.
5 game series had that pussy played. Similar to how the Lakers are going to destroy the Mavericks next round.
Landry would be getting minutes against Odom if coming off the bench. He's doing an ok job against Gasol, but his lack of rebounding negates whatever defense he plays. West torches Gasol. Gasol is too slow to stay with him and CP3 would give West alot of open looks which he can make more consistently compared to Landry. Landry would help the 2nd unit alot more which got torched last night.
Gray has played well whenever he plays. He only got a ridiculous 12 minutes last night for whatever reason and got 6 boards which was more than Okafor or Landry who played 3 times as much minutes. Also, Bynum continues his dominance over Okafor. West would take playing time away from Landry, not Gray.
Anyway, we're just going back and forth on the same argument. I'm done arguing about it.
Which would make them a worse defensive team against the Lakers.
No it doesn't.
Nooope. Not this season.
He's too slow for Landry. West is an easy cover since hes a predictable, pussy jumpshooter.
Have fun watching Dirk get ted-on next round.![]()
Hafta admit, Kobe's facial on Okafor was pretty retro.
