The lack of defensive adjustments had some Pacers frustrated.
"We have to be able to make better adjustments," West said. "We just didn't respond. I have no explanation on why we gave up 40-something [points] in the second quarter. "Coach [Frank Vogel] throws [the starters] back out there and says, 'Get us out of the hole.' Just tough, particularly when a team is rolling, feeling good. We're in an uphill battle the whole game."
Vogel is a prideful coach who isn't interested in adjusting his game plan. Budenholzer has one-upped Vogel so many times in the series that the Pacers coach finally stopped being stubborn with his reluctance to use shooter Chris Copeland at power forward in the second half.

IF that was a black coach you would be clowning.
ROFL you guys that were calling this cat a great coach.
All the black coach grief McHale and Vogel have been two of the tiest.
And one of the biggest jokes (HDMD) has at least made some adjustments after a loss.
Indiana will probably blow out Atlanta today and finish this in 7, but it's funny how Indiana's "airtight" defense got exposed in the postseason by a team 6 games below .500. Their inability to mark and close in on Atlanta's shooters is unforgiveable for a team that prides itself on defense.
Hibbert is absolute garbage but the reason why Indiana signed a load of big men is for an insurance policy. I haven't even seen Bynum play a single minute to relieve Hibbert while he is sulking and sucking.
Paul George's mercury rise to prominence fell down pretty quickly because scouts and coaches quickly realized what his weaknesses were. He's had a Lin-type start to the season but has fallen off a cliff after teams started to notice him. He does not know how to read the defenses that are being thrown at him and that is alarming because they pride themselves on defense.
All in all, Indiana may get past Atlanta but they absolutely have no chance when they meet the big boys of the East. If they are sucking like this against Atlanta, imagine what Washington would do to them.
I have the Hawks in a blowout tonight tbh
Pretty much sums it up. You can criticize George all you want, sure he's underperforming. But this decline from Hibbert is historically bad. Blame should pretty much all be on him, imo
what its come to huh?
Not only have the Pacers been in a long slump, they ran into a matchup nightmare. I doubt they would be looking this bad if they would have got the bobcats in the first round.
Hawks wrap this up tonight in blowout fashion. A fitting end to the Pacers debacle of a season.
Hibbert's playoffs make Bellineli look like ing Larry Bird 1986
I have concluded these Pacers have absolutely zero chance vs the Heat. So go HawksI wanna se some drama
Antic![]()
George Hill with 3 plays completely turned this game in Atlanta's favor...
I'd like Korver on the Spurs.
The Pacers are a train wreck. So bad yet you can't look away. This team should be ashamed.
Hibbert goes to the bench and Indiana at least looks barely compe ive
I dont see Hibbert entering the game again. Unless coach Voguel wants to commit career suicide![]()
Michael Jordan Scott entering the game. Pacers = ED![]()
this game might be over by halftime if the Pacers don't wake the up... just amazing they can mail it in like this in an elimination game
Only took you at least two months longer than anyone else on the planet to reach that conclusion![]()
Either of these 2 teams are going to get demolished next round
