Saddest day of the summer for me. I was hoping TD would will one more season. I think he would have done two more were that knee to have held out, tbh.
Wow. Was it that long? I'll be disappointed if it's not this year.
Better not be AFTER Kobe's.![]()
Personally I feel like TD is getting more respect than Kobe got; his retirement was too drawn out. I think each mirrored their retirement to the way they played their careers, and that's fine. If Kobe gets his retired before Tim (which will probably happen), good for him - I won't be in LA for that, but I'll damn sure be at the AT&T center for Timmy's!
Wow . . .
We're going to miss you, TD. Every-single-one of us.
Thank you.
Game 1 next year. And I hope they are playing the Warriors so KD and Curry can witness true greatness and the retirement ceremony in person. Doing it the right way, putting a team and a city on you freakin back.

Really hate that he retired, but he's leaving the organization at the right time.
The organization has been slowly preparing for his departure, and I'm impressed with the team that has been assembled following his departure. We are now in year One of the Post-Duncan era.
99, 03, 05, 07, 14 and everything on and off the court - 19 years of fundamental excellence. #ThankYouTD

Perfect.![]()
Opening night is going to be the weirdest evening ever for me. Been watching the Spurs back to the early days of D-Rob in the hemisphere arena. Feels like a good chunk of my life watching sports gravitates from these two big men. D-rob's retirement was rough but not hollow with Duncan still in silver and black. Duncan's retirement leaves a massive ache knowing 21 won't be called out again till his jersey is retired.
Blamed himself when they lost, praised teammates and organisation when they won
Never complained about referees, took responsibility himself
Never threw teammates under bus, just set an example so they’d work harder
Taught the game to players on other teams, never talked trash
Made average players good & good player’s elite
Won with humility, lost with class
A truly sad day. But what an amazing journey that i got to watch on tv and i consider myself so lucky to have seen him play in person. TD=🐐
Thanks for the memories Tim.. And 19 years of greatness you gave to Spurs.. Hats off to the greatest power forward of all time![]()
While other kids were doing cross overs and shooting fadaways in the park I was jab stepping and shooting bank shots.
