didnt see this
Kyle's shot is awful, Murray's is nonexistent, Green is still inconsistent as , and the rest of the team is nothing to write home about either in terms of improvement. That doesn't even get into the horrid free throw shooting.
didnt see this
Do not agree with dumping Danny. Forbes will not get a huge pay raise, but he will get more than he is making now. I would like to see the Spurs keep him. Still a lot of games left to see if he is worth it.
Because of LMA. When you take out his team leading FTA at near 87%, it drops to 70%. On a per game basis that's like leaving 4-5 points free points at the line which is unaccetable. , if you give those points to the Spurs tonight they most likely win this game.
As for the 3-point shooting, 3% is a huge dropoff tbh. Kawhi coming back will help, but it can't be ignored how badly Manu and Gasol have fallen off and how bad Mills has looked from three most of the season; 28 games is too big of a sample size to ignore.
The word you needed to read is CONSISTENTLY. That's great Manu can do that in one game early in the season. He's likely not going to do that later in the season or the playoffs because his gas tank isn't that big anymore. Simmons would have been very helpful. People say his defense wasn't great, but I still think he was one of the top 4-5 defenders on the team and getting better. He may be loafing on defense in Orlando, but when engaged on that end of the court here, he was decent.
It's great that Kawhi is back, but I can't take watching Pop's mechanical bull rest patterns.
Pop sucks at improvisation, the flow of the game, playing the hot hand etc. or if someone is OK physically, still not knowing you don't have to stick to those mechanical preordained rest times and patterns. how is there less of a chance of injury if that player is feeling good and playing well by limiting them to a specific time set out before the game? I've never seen this carried on as long as Pop is going with this before. Is there some kind of science I'm not aware of if a player coming back from injury doesn't play more than 16 or 20 minutes he can't get injured in those 16 or 20 minutes, but the injury chances go way up after that?
Here's an analogy of what I think of Pop's in game adjustments and improvisation - On one end of the spectrum you have Charlie Parker, one of the best improvisers of all time, so let's just say that is Phil Jackson, Rick Carlisle. Pop is more like Kirk Hammett of Metallica (one of the most overrated of all time). ing awful.
He helps on defense a lot + rebounding and the last game against the Mavs he had 4 steals and made clutch plays to close the game out. One was that steal and pass to Patty.
It's not necessarily him scoring since he's so unselfish but giving someone else a quality shot, plus making defensive plays. Last 2 Mavs games, he closed them out.
Completely forgotten about Kyle, haven't noticed his absence at all.
Pop asked if Kawhi is fine...
. Neither did I. So is Kawhi alright or not. He never should have come back in this game. Should have made his debut at home. Could be a losing streak coming up. 90% chance of that as the Rockets are going to be darn near impossible to beat on the road with a way out of whack Spurs team.
Maybe Pop can put that game too and give them more rest for the next Dallas game. ing pathetic coach.
At least Kawhi's alright. I'm just not happy with the coaching.
so is patty...no excuse to be scrubbing it up vs barea
I appreciate what he has brought to the team. But I still say that tonight he wasn't going to cause our guys' good looks to go down or improve a clunky offense that has to accommodate two high usage players. Kyle's game will suffer (and Danny's will, too). Going forward, Kyle will not have the ball in his hands or have the same opportunities to impact games that he has thus far this season. I know you agree that Kyle is better when he he can handle the ball some and be a facilitator. That is not going to happen with Kawhi and LMA both playing. We are going to see more of the ineffective, off-the-ball Kyle.
Interesting how bad pau looks w kawhi. Same as last year
I could even argue three. Parker is pretty heavy when he plays. Pau only had two shots. Maybe he was hesitant or whatever but he didn't play his game. My eye test is that he didn't get much usage at the top of the circle with high lows etc. Didn't pay excessive attention to him though as my eyes were locked on Leonard.
Today’s NBA
wait, what??
Embiid is made of glass, dude just hurt himself again (looks serious too).
Best observation of the night. Legit concern and isn't an emotional knee jerk...
Biggest concern of the season so far tbh.
Yep. But kl is the most talent the spurs have. Rock and hard place

Look at how worthless pau is when kl dominates the possession.
Dude... Simmons has been losing games left and right in Orlando... seriously.
He's one of their worst if not the worst rotation player there.
