Paul George by himself was getting the 7th seed in the East. What has he won to say he's better than the best players on this team? He's a better defender by far but other than that he chokes just like our stars.
What has LMA won? DeRozan? PG is by far better than them and there is no logical argument otherwise. Even if you want to call PG soft or a choker or overrated, that’s totally fine. But LMA/DeRozan are that too plus less talented.

To Pop's credit, Lonnie was reckless on offense and horrible on defense.

In his 4 minutes? What about the people paid to carry the team: LMA, Mills, Beli? They were all worse than Lonnie or every bit as bad and calling out a guy who played 4 minutes for a loss is total bull .

I think we'll see him tomorrow.
    Of course...because Dejounte won't play.

Like...did we sign this dude to a 3 year contract so that he can soak up someones minutes on the second night of a back to back?

Pretty good summary. The Spurs don't compete if PG is healthy and playing. But they could have won this game tonight if Pop had taken the night off. I don't like to second guess a HOF coach, but I'm still scratching my head over some of his decisions tonight.

WTF do you think is going on with Aldridge? Even on a bad night he shouldn't look this bad. This is a guy who thinks he should be considered for the AS team? That was an embarrassing performance.
It’s alarming considering SA did him a solid and showed complete faith by guaranteeing his deal. They had no reason to do that and if this is what they get for showing faith? It B A D.

I’m ok with lack of offense some nights; Harrell has an insane motor and he’s a big time pest. But not boarding, playing lame defense and just being a ghost? That’s all on LMA and I am hoping it was just a bad night.

    But alarming effort from him

    Lonnie Walker four (minutes).

If you can't make the most out of that, Lonnie, you just won't get any minutes at all.

I’m actually really annoyed by that “Lonnie was horrible” remark by Pop. Pisses me off. Especially after the ty rotations he’s been rolling out there.

As I stated earlier in the thread, spurs really need to clean up the turnovers. It’s been really bad the first four games. And I feel like half of that is Demar and Dejounte. They have to be better than protecting the ball, period.

Not defending Pop but Lonnie does play out of control like a young Ricky Davis. He's super athletic just like Ricky but makes dumb plays on both ends.

Not really sure why it is alarming...LMA has always been a guy who gives effort when he wants...doesn't when he wants...and folds under physical defense...

We still got a ways to go to think we can compete with a healthy Clippers team but I'm not too worried after this game. Second chances killed us but I think we'll clean that up and our free throw shooting won't be this bad overall either. And LMA and Murray will play better than this next time. Encouraging game from White though and DeMar came to play.

And that’s fine. He’s 20 years old and going to make a lot of mistakes. But say that. Say “Yea I thought Lonnie struggled a bit today to find his footing” or something along those lines. Not, “He was horrible.” He’s young and that is impressionable.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about. The Clippers are beating everybody without PG except the Suns. They took out the Lakers last week. Also have to factor #2 will be super motivated to go off against the Spurs every time he plays them. Nothing you can do about that.

Lol at people thinking that Pop doesn't play Lonnie because of his 4mins. Pop sees Lonnie in practice, he might be terrible there, we don't know. Whenever i listen to Pop speak he doesn't strike me as an idiot, to the contrary. Pop is most probably right not playing him.

21 3pt attempts, 7 makes, 18 turnovers, 9 missed FT's, its amazing they only lost by two possessions with poor play from LA , and Pops rotations.

I agree Mills and Belli have been trash but that also doesn't absolve Lonnie from his boneheaded plays on both ends. Lonnie's basketball IQ is pretty ty from what I have seen. The great thing he has right now is his super athletic abilities but he's lost and confused on both ends of the court.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong but Pop has always been like this with young players. I remember how he used to make Tony Parker cry during his first few years in the league.

It’s time for Pop to retire. Just so arrogant and never blames himself. Can’t wait to see how the apologist spin this one.

If LMA isn't all washed up we're gonna make the playoffs and that's were i'm gonna judge Pop. Last season Pop did good there imo, we'll see this year.

He's played a grand total of like 9 minutes all year.

I don't get how some people can post that he hasn't shown much or that he's erratic when he hasn't even gotten a real chance yet.

What boneheaded plays? Can you specifically point to what he did this game? Shouldn't be hard since he only played 4 minutes. In his first stint, he fouled Harrell trying to help which led to an and1 but that can (and does) happen to everybody. His second stint, I have no idea what he did that would've caused Pop to yank him.

Who is saying Lonnie needs to be absolved? We are saying where is that same critique for the guys playing worse, paid more and that Pop is deciding to continually play without being yanked?
