More from WR Kaliq Lockett after his commitment to Texas (247):
"What's not to like about Texas? Up and coming wide receiver U, we're not even gonna talk about how they got Isaiah Bond, Johntay Cook, Deandre Moore, Silas Bolden, Ryan Wingo, along with Aaron Butler, along with me over there, so you know it's a blessing in itself and it's been a long journey. There were times where I didn't even think Texas was even gonna be the school but we got it done."
"I've been building a relationship with coach Sark since I was a freshman. He wanted to see how I would develop as a player and how I would develop as a person and I picked the Texas Longhorns baby Hook'Em all the way!"
"Man I did it all for her (Lockett's mother) too. She's the reason why I'm even here right now. She gives me life and it was at a point where I'm just doing it for my mom and my dad and my family so I could get them a big 'ol house in the hills or something. It was very special to commit on my mom's birthday and we're gonna go celebrate."
"I remember I first met him when I was a freshman and I told him I was going to be coming for all of his records out here and he didn't believe me but I'm coming for him. But I also want to thank Devin Duvernay for paving the way for me to be great too because it's a lot of talent that comes out of Sachse people just don't know it yet and I'm paving the way for that and putting on for Sachse for sure. We got dawgs out here."
"With coach Jackson coming from Jacksonville, he can take a lot of the pointers he's got from the NFL and translate it to college and with him translating that to college we already have Sark's offense, the pro-style offense, and with coach Jackson's knowledge, and with coach (Kyle) Flood, coach (AJ) Milwee, and the quarterbacks we have at Texas I feel like we're definitely gonna win a couple National Championships. I want three National Championships."
"Ah man now I can finally focus on the season and focus on my senior campaign and start breaking records, that's what I'm coming for this year."
"Trust me I'm not gonna be the last (five-star), I got something coming. Aye Jaime (Ffrench) you already know what it is boy go ahead and come over here I want you let's do it, let's be teammates come on."
"Shoot Jaime (Ffrench) is the first one on my list that's for sure, Michael Terry, I want you. Aye Mike (Fasusi), you already know what it is I want you over here. Aye Jonah (Williams), I know you watching I know you were just on my (IG) live, we talked about this lets do it come on I'm coming for y'all."

Nahlin at IT is in Galveston today and he says Texas is currently in the best spot for S Jonah Williams.
He mentioned the closer you get to his circle, the more Longhorn talk to you hear.
He's also heard people saying Williams prioritizes football and he just happens to be really good at baseball.

He totally changed his tune on Fasusi today saying he believes it'll be Oklahoma.
Rats.
I don’t like losing lineman.
They alluded to the staff potentially allocating NIL to other positions since the staff feels good about '26 OL John Turntine III from North Crowley.
I don't like any kind of "next year" mentality, but I understand NIL recruiting is a completely different animal (i.e. Moore, Sharma) these days.
Thankfully we're approaching the time of year where things change quite a bit with recruits, and we know the staff doesn't give up on their priorities.
My guess is they plan on being more aggressive closer to the end of the season which they've had success with in the past two years, along with flipping guys from other schools.
Former Longhorns Allen, Jr. and Brice arrested for trespassing.
