you gilmor, the Spurs suck, have sucked all January,
pull your head out of your ass and try watching the games.
It could be worse for gilmor - his head could be up Hillary's ass like yours.

Pretty much a must win tomorrow night for the Spurs....lose and it proves that the Spurs have no shot against the top teams in the West. Secondly, you fall too far behnind the Mavs to even contend for the division...could even fall behind the Rockets. I'll be cheer for the Spurs...please play smart and POUND THE BALL INSIDE and slow it down againts the Suns.
Wrong. There's a ton of season left. One trade and we're back in it.

They got outrebounded 50-32 when the Jazz didn't have Boozer. What's positive about that
The Jazz rebound extremely well with or without Boozer. Does it really hurt them not to have Boozer when they have Millsap to step in and do just as much of the dirty work? Boozer is a great rebounder, but the Jazz have a lot of those who can fill in the gaps. They missed Boozer's offense much moe than his rebounding.

The Spurs played well tonight. They're not going to becomea good rebounding team this year with the players they have, so we might as well learn to live with that. Tony showed big nuts, and I thought Tim and Manu did a good job tonight as well. Thats very positive. The Spurs also played very good defense.

I'm not sure what people thought. Did posters here expect a blowout because Boozer wasn't there? You're not going to get many blowouts against good teams like the Jazz on the road. Its just not going to happen.

Well, that is a functional flaw with the roster. They can show plenty of heart, but some nights they are going to get killed on the glass.
    Exactly.

I was laughing at myself thinking the same thing in my head. It would have been a huge, gutsy call, but hey .. Tony was on fire.
Me, too. Tony was clearly hot, but I don't know whether putting him in would have been the right thing or not.

Maybe if I had HD I could see things that way, too.

Instead, I saw one more team without their best player beat the Spurs.

It doesn't really matter because we're taling about Boozer and the Jazz. First off, they know how to play without him considering they've had to do it so much. Secondly, its a Jerry Sloan coached team, and you know that the entire team is going to bring it with or without Boozer. They're a TEAM not driven by a single player.

It isn't the same as if we were playing a team like the Lakers without Kobe. The Jazz aren't built to work around Boozer, so with or without him they're going to be a pretty damn good team.

Utah had actually lost 2 of their last 3 home games- and to Memphis and New Jersey, nonetheless. Plus a loss last weekend in Oklahoma City. In truth- Utah was 6-8 in January before tonight.

The opposing Bigs absolutely killed the Spurs. 58 points out of Okur, Millsap, Araujo. 39 points from the rest of the Jazz.

The bogus touch foul/flop with Okur for 3 FTs was the dagger the Spurs couldn't overcome but the rebounding and front-court scoring got the Jazz into position to win.

Since I didn't see the first half, can somebody 'splain to me why Oberto got 23 minutes to produce his zero rebounds, while Elson got 5 in 10 minutes?

only if manu could help in the rebounding department
Why are you singling out Manu in poor rebounding in today's game?

ALL THE PLAYERS were sub-par in their rebounds today. Duncan only had 8. Manu 3. Parker 2. Elson 5. Oberto ZERO

    This was against the Jazz.
