Does it taste like chicken?
No.
It tastes like calamari.![]()
Calamari is delicious if fresh, as long as it's not over-cooked. The first time I had calamari was in a Chinese food restaruant, they were deep fried and resembled onion rings. Put ketchup on them and everything. They were good, I asked for more. The next time we ate them after taking them right out of the Northern California Coastal waters, lightly floured and fried in a pan. I'll never forget it, like tiny tastebud orgasms happening in the mouth, scrump-dilly-umptious!
Anything deep fried is good.
The first time I ate calamari when I was a kid, and no one told me what it was until I'd practically devoured the appetizer.
I am not a huge fan of the olive garden, but they make the best calamari and whatever that white soup with potato and sausage is called. Those two things alone are reasons to go.
That white soup ROCKS! It's a complete meal with bread & salad (even though the salad is already tossed).
I've never been to Olive Garden. I'm picky about Italian.
Yeah, I didn't know what it was the first time, either. Tasted like hearty, mild onion rings with some meat.![]()
Olive Garden food doesn't really do anything for me. The soup and salad lunch special it what I always get. And, since I've had calamari fresh I don't even bother trying it at restaurants, but maybe I will next time.
Johnny Carrino's has good Italian.
You must order from Big Sausage Pizza pretty often though.
I've yet to find an affordable Italian restaurant that can hold a candle to my great-grandmother's (and grandmother's) kitchen. Hence, I'm picky.
Oh, pray tell, what has inspired this hypothesis?
im going for a top nine posts...!
I prefer the pasta iol soup.
I love that stuff.
I need a trip to the Hill Country.
I can't tell if I'm tired but not sleepy, or sleepy but not tired. I'm definitely one or the other, but definitely not both.
Pulp Fiction isn't anywhere near as awesome a movie without the bad language, but I'm too comfy to go get the DVD so I'll just keep watching it on Bravo.
Honey Bunny: Which wallet is yours?
Jules: It's the one that says "Bad Mother Lover."
You should be watching the classic that is The Goonies right now.
My favorite TV dub jobs have to be Do The Right Thing, where "mother er" is replaced with "mickey fickey." And Menace II Society, which has entire scenes of dialog that have been dubbed over by someone other than the original cast.
