He also had more fun in his business and employed more people
Helped a lot of people. Yeah he could have made more in the stock market but it would have been boring.
I doubt he's helping more people than the Clintons.

Their foundation has helped over 400 million people over 200 countries across the world.

Whatever you have against the organization itself doesn't matter as the foundation itself is set up to help millions upon millions of people.

I finally found a Trump supporter -- this morning when I went to buy coffee. (I noticed a Trump bumper sticker on his car.)

“Hi,” I said. “Noticed your Trump bumper sticker.”

“Yup,” he said, a bit defensively.

“I hope you don’t mind my asking, but I’m curious. Why are you supporting him?”

“I know he’s a little bit much,” said the Trump supporter. “But he’s a successful businessman. And we need a successful businessman as president.”

“How do you know he’s a successful businessman?” I asked.

    “Because he’s made a fortune.”

    “Has he really?” I asked.

“Of course. Forbes magazine says he’s worth four and a half billion.”

    “That doesn’t mean he’s been a success,” I said.

“In my book it does,” said the Trump supporter.

“You know, in 1976, when Trump was just starting his career, he said he was worth about $200 million,” I said. “Most of that was from his father.”

“That just proves my point,” said the Trump supporter. “He turned that $200 million into four and a half billion. Brilliant man."

“But if he had just put that $200 million into an index fund and reinvested the dividends, he’d be worth twelve billion today,” I said.

    The Trump supporter went silent.

"And he got about $850 million in tax subsidies, just in New York alone," I said.

    More silence.

"He's not a businessman," I said. "He's a con man. "Hope you enjoy your coffee."

Following birther reversal, Trump’s allies lie about his lie

Trump’s allies hit the Sunday shows yesterday, pretending that the newly manufactured fiction is actually fact. Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway insisted yesterday – repeatedly and falsely – that the birther conspiracy theory “started with” the Clinton campaign. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who must know better, was equally eager to peddle the same nonsense.

But no one was quite as brazen in his dishonesty as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), who told CNN’s Jake Tapper yesterday that the birther garbage has been “done” as an issue “for a long time.” The host reminded the viewing audience that Trump kept the conspiracy theory going for five years after President Obama made his long-form birth certificate available to the public. It led to an amazing exchange:

CHRISTIE: Jake, that’s just not true. It’s not true that he kept it up for five years.

    TAPPER: Sure, he did.

    CHRISTIE: It’s simply not true.

    TAPPER: It is true.

CHRISTIE: It wasn’t like he was talking – no, Jake, it wasn’t like – it wasn’t like he was talking about it on a regular basis until then.

To the extent that reality matters at all,

Donald Trump was not only a birther ringleader in the years leading up to 2011, and

he not only rejected the president’s birth certificate as a “fake” and a “fraud” in 2011,

Trump also proceeded to push the same conspiracy theory in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Fact-checking the New Jersey governor’s claim yesterday, the Washington Post concluded,

“This is such bogus spin that we have to wonder how Christie manages to say it with a straight face…. [C]learly Christie is either lying or he is so misinformed that he has no business appearing on television.”

In a way, Trump put his friends in an impossible position, sending them out to defend the indefensible, urging them to lie on his behalf. It’s not surprising that this didn’t go well.

But Christie, Conway, and Priebus didn’t have to agree. They had a choice and they chose to go on national television, repeating obvious falsehoods. In a normal year with normal candidates playing by normal rules, this would be the basis for a major, damaging controversy.

Trump must have lived on air and (haha) paid no taxes all those decades. He didn't live an extravagant lifestyle, get taken to the cleaners by Ivanna, supported 5 kids, fly around in a private jet, live in a pent-house with gold-plated fixtures, etc - oh no, he got to invest and re-invest everything. Somehow they've forgotten that he'd pay taxes on all those re-invested dividends with no write-offs.

    Highest Income Tax Tier: $200,000

Welp, you have to go to the mid 70s to discuss a tax return? That's not good.

It's tongue-in-cheek considering the whole tax return controversy now. The point is that one doesn't just re-invest dividends for decades - taxes are paid on dividends at ordinary income rates and one must live on something.

    From boutons' post:
“You know, in 1976, when Trump was just starting his career, he said he was worth about $200 million,” I said. “Most of that was from his father.”

Where are you getting this from? Trump is a joke. He has no ground to stand on when it comes to discussing issues. So I'm having a hard time understanding that she has no chance against Trump.

In what way does't she have a chance?

Going back to the dem primary debates, it was a draw. She won the first few debates and then Bernie won the ones held later on when he grew with the people.

The best Trump can hope is that he baits Hillary into name calling.

Theres just no way Trump can actually out policy her on the issues.

My baseline assumptions for Debate 1:
—Pundits/reporters 60-70% likely to say Trump wins.
—Instant polls 60-70% likely to say Clinton wins.

Yeah and instead of just putting it in a fund and sitting on his ass like a lazy piece of . He went out and built a brand, ac ulating wealth, power, opportunities, and connections you could only ever dream of. He has a global brand and has created jobs for thousands and thousands of people. Im pretty sure the outcome he has now is better than simply putting it in a trust fund. Get a grip.

Hope they add a question about police shootings, especially after what just happened in Tusla OK yesterday.

Trump goes from being having a 40 year racist track record to apparently being the savior of black people, would love to see his answer.

Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of the late Robert F Kennedy, posted a picture on her Facebook page in which she is shaking hands with Mr Bush, with the caption: "The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”

She confirmed to Politico that the Republican grandee, who served as president from 1989 to 1993 and vice president from 1981 to 1989, would be voting for the Democrat candidate for the White House.

Why wouldn't it? An ex president...from another party is voting for a democrat.

When has that ever happened? This is not some random republican voting blue.

Not nice of her to share that. She ought to leave something like that to him to share if he wishes. That'd be very un-Bush-like - even if they're gonna vote for her, I don't think they'd advertise it - imo, they are first and foremost Republicans and they wouldn't want to do anything that might damage the party.
