HUGE win for the M's. We needed it bad after the meltdown against the O's.
Tough loss.
Team looked tired though.
Not suprising with the team getting in at that late of an hour.
King Felix is a of a pitcher though so no shame in that.
Just gotta bounce back tommarow and kick some ass.
Nelson Cruz to the All-Star game. That's something I never thought I'd say in my life.
c.j has been one of our best out of the pen since may
Rangers win, but the Angels are leading the Yanks 10-6. Thanks for nothing Yankees...
F'ing Yankees....
6-1 vs the M's
7-2 vs LA
4-2 vs Oakland
the Yankees times a billion. Once again, they jump out to an early lead over the Angels, and once again, they implode and get killed. Why can't they beat the Angels...EVER?!?! Geez man...
Second place, Texas Rangers.![]()
Yankees cant actually get swept can they?
I dont know what our record is against Bedard but i imagine its not good
Bedard is having a nice bounce back season. Iirc they faced bedard back in may the last time they were in Seattle and it was an extra innings win.
Angels sweep the Yanks. Awesome, always know you can count on the Yanks to do the opposite you want them to.
this doesnt look good.
1.5 games back and not too favorable of a schedule coming out of the break![]()
Yeah and the Angels play a 4 gamer with Oakland.
Nelson Cruz finished runner-up to Prince Fielder in the HR Derby. But he put on a good show.
Also, FYI the game winning RBI in the All Star Game has been hit by a Ranger in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008. In 2007, Michael Young made the All Star team, but was never put in the lineup and didn't play. Starting in 2003 the winning league gets home field in the World Series (I still hate that rule)...so therefore, a Ranger has given the AL pennant winners home field in 5 of 6 years.
I just figured out what my next article is on. lol
Young just got added to the all-star lineup because Evan Longoria's pussy hurts.
Maybe another chance to bring in the game winning run

T. LOUIS -- Michael Young never could get into the American League starting lineup as a shortstop. Turns out he made it in his first year as a third baseman.
"Amazing," Young said. "That's the beauty of this game, you never know what will happen."
Young wasn't scheduled to be the starting third baseman for the AL in Tuesday's All-Star Game. He was voted onto the team by the players as a reserve. But he was added to the starting lineup on Tuesday to replace Tampa Bay's Evan Longoria, who had to be scratched because of an infection in the ring finger on his right hand.
Young was the Most Valuable Player in the 2006 All-Star Game and drove in the winning run last year in Yankee Stadium. This is his sixth straight All-Star Game but the first time he has been in the starting lineup.
"It means a lot," Young said. "My only regret is the cir stances. Evan is having an incredible season, and he deserves to start. But sometimes injuries happen, even in an All-Star Game. I'm going to go in there, play hard and help us win the ballgame."
Young was placed in the seventh spot in the batting order, right behind Rangers teammate Josh Hamilton. He normally bats second just ahead of Hamilton in the Rangers' lineup.
"I hate that Evan can't play because of his finger, but at the same time I'm glad Michael is in the lineup," Hamilton said.
Maddon did have other options. Tigers third baseman Brandon Inge is on the team after winning the Final Vote compe ion. But Maddon said Young was an "easy choice" being selected by the players as the backup third baseman.
"He's been a spectacular player for several years now, and he's made a lot of clutch plays," Maddon said.
Young, who moved from shortstop to third base this winter, entered the All-Star break hitting .308 with 48 runs scored, 27 doubles, 11 home runs and 37 RBIs in 84 games and 377 at-bats.
Maddon told him Monday night to be ready if Longoria couldn't go. On Tuesday morning, Young was eating breakfast with family when he was told that he was going to start.
"This is my sixth All-Star Game and I was hoping to get a start eventually," Young said. "It's just unfortunate under those cir stances. I'm looking forward to jogging out to the line and being introduced for the first time. Going to the All-Star Game is an honor under any cir stances, but getting to start is a blast."
The only problem is he might be out of the game in the late innings and won't be in a position to provide the late heroics that have marked some of his previous appearances.
He was the 2006 MVP in Pittsburgh when he hit a two-run triple in the top of the ninth inning off Trevor Hoffman to give the AL a 3-2 victory. He also drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 15th inning last year in Yankee Stadium to give the AL a 4-3 victory.
"Maybe I can flip-flop it and make something happen early," Young said.
Young will be the second Rangers infielder to start at third base in an All-Star Game. Alex Rodriguez was voted in as the starting shortstop for AL in 2001 but switched to third base for the first inning so that Cal Ripken could start at shortstop in his final All-Star Game. Buddy Bell made four appearances for the Rangers as a third baseman but never as a starter.
The 80th All-Star Game will be televised nationally by FOX Sports, in Canada by Rogers Sportsnet and Sportsnet HD and televised around the world by Major League Baseball International, with pregame ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. CT. ESPN Radio will provide exclusive national radio coverage, while MLB.com will provide extensive online coverage.
