FWIW: disparate opinions among gms, agents, league HQ officials today about where LeBron is going, but consensus on 1 thing: it's not Mia.

Oh looks like Bucher surfs forums too if he's using acronyms like FWIW.

Unofficial Bucher poll results of those I've spoken to today: 4 for Cle, 3 for NY. Not sure why Chi got no love but it didn't.

Reason for skepticism: LBJ wd be 3rd-highest paid, it's Wade's town, brand unquestionably tarnished, still at least a yr away from le.RicBucher
In other words: no decision would inspire more head-scratching than the Heat. And Riley goes to straight into hypnotists Hall of Fame.

Haywood was definitely not in the same boat as Jefferson.
1) Haywood had a decent year (PER 16.1, after coming back from a major injury the year before), Jefferson was well down (PER 13.1, a CAREER low).
2) Less compe ion - Haywood is pretty much the best FA center out there. There are several more attractive options at SF than Jefferson - Outlaw, Miller, Lebron, etc.
I do agree however, that if Dallas had more patience they could have gotten a better price. Although rumour has is that the last year is unguaranteed. 6 years at $55 million, including 10.5% raises means it starts at roughly 7.5 Million, which is good, and the last year unguaranteed makes it roughly $45 Million / 5 years
I never though LBJ was going to Miami. Bucher makes it seem like there is no way.

LeBron & Co en route to venue for "The Decision."
Why is it head scratching to assume Lebron goes to Miami?
To whoever brought up the "ride a-long" theory, that makes a whole crap load of sense.
And to whoever said if it were the Lakers no one would be ting bricks, I have to disagree. The Gasol traded wasn't liked by anyone, but imagine if Gasol had been in his prime, AND Carmelo or Lebron came along, that would cause an uproar. No one can really stop it, but that would be some serious bs.
And to whoever mentioned parity, this would not be dominant-but-there-are-2-or-3-teams-that-could-also-win, it would be dominant-as-in-that-dude-got-held-back-5-times-yet-he's-still-playing-HS-basketball-W-T-F!!!
