I wouldn't say that. LMA was top 3 or 5 in terms of post-up possessions last year, and was in the top 20% or so in terms of efficiency...posting up is definitely a big part of his game.
The thing is, "good" post-up plays still aren't as efficient as other types of plays, so I'd rather not rely on them so much. If he has a mismatch then he should definitely get the ball in the post, but I'd like to see more pick-n-pops and spot-up jumpers. Like you said though, it's a little easier to iso in games like this where there isn't much chemistry.
