Dedmon won't be here next season. Part of the bad thing with just these 1 year contracts in todays NBA. Some team will probably pay him $20mil just based on him showing promise as a spurs player. Spurs more than likely won't pay him what another team will. The whole increased cap screwed a lot of things up.

Except there isn't the same stupid amount of money around next offseason. All these teams will have MLEs available, but less have in excess of that.

Based on a $102 million cap, only five teams currently have in excess of $10 million of cap space heading into next summer. Sixers don't need another center and Nuggets likely don't, but Nets, Celtics and perhaps Suns could all use someone like him.
