The Spurs can beat anyone if they play like they did tonight.
I think Bosh would be a good person to replace Shaq. He's a little too soft-spoken, but he's articulate and thoughtful.
But this whole, "This game doesn't mean much" at ude TNT keeps having about Spurs blowouts.
The Spurs can beat anyone if they play like they did tonight.
If Pop played Kawhi 48 minutes against the Cavs, would Lebron get off the bench?
Notice how the ball moved with Leonard usage rate increased significantly.
This is what people fail to realize. The team can move better with Leonard because he is a perimter scorer and a dual threat in the post.
This is the massive difference between Aldridge feeding and Leonard just doing his thing.
Under no cir stances should aldridge ever be getting a 30% usage rate. It kills the offense.
Guys who originate from the perimter will always create better opportunities. Even if Leonard is just looking to score for himself, the team moves better because the sets and plays the spurs run for Leonard are all better at generating offense.
I'm not doubting he got hit, and maybe that it stung. Just that he tends to oversell at times.
I don't know if Lee did it intentionally, seemed like he was trying to clear out
Kawhi
was great 6 assists + his buckets.
Who, what, when, where, and Kawhi!
I'm enjoying the win but keeping my expectations in check for the rest of the week. The Cavs are playing their worst basketball of the season. Granted, the Spurs looked terrific but keep in mind that the Cavs' D rating is second to last. Spurs won't get easy shots against Dubs like they did tonight.
When Lebron was rolling around on the floor like a , I was reminded of 2014 Game 1...
Dude is at serious risk of Spurs-induced PTSD.
He knows his basketball.
Spurs were in a bit of a slump themselves and didn't start playing well until the Sacramento game. I didn't see the game but I like the score.
Not to mention Kawhi making an under the radar leap in the passing department..His kickouts from the post/paint to 3 point shooters are becoming mre smooth and precise by the day (that one to Pau in the first half was just gorgeous..)
Kind of amazing blowout win, considering three of the Spurs' starters went a combined 6-22, and the starting PG got 1 AST.
Pau coming off the bench has been a big improvement, and when Manu is playing well off the bench the Spurs' second unit could be the best in the league, IMO.
Well played
Patty Thrills is on a nice little tear, looks good moving the ball around and hitting the 3 ball consistently. I'll take it!
Yep. Three of our bench guys are arguably better than their starting counterparts (Mills/Manu/Pau). When the Dynamic Duo goes to the bench, the Beautiful Game unit comes on. A solid 9-man rotation (with Lee) is all you need in the playoffs.
The upcoming Warriors an Jazz games will be interesting to watch. Will want to see how they go about planning to D up the Spurs players an how the Spurs counter after how they have played them in previous matchups.
Kawhi's PE Colorways have been fire since landing that contract in 2014 tbh
