It's a bad pick regardless. Spurs should be in win now mode considering we're in Kawhi's prime. Yes, rookies hardly ever contribute to championship teams, but it looks like GS looked for and found one anyway.

I think their pay roll makes it harder for them to pay roll players, so they have to go after where they can give one guy the MLE and everyone else vet min's and hope some rookies pan out and can help immediately. We've got (in theory at least lol) more and better level role players, even though sometimes it doesn't feel at all that way. So you'd assume you're better off drafting a guy like White who can be your starting two guard in a couple of years and be a better version of Danny. However, it has to actually work out that way for it to make sense.

I don't disagree, but what's your point? Bell was brought up as a pick the Spurs could've made this year. Anderson was drafted years ago.
