I mean how can you like a guy who went out of his way to lie about his injury status for a year(which ed us out of fifty wins), avoided his teammates/fans after his coaches wife died because he was too big a vagina to deal with Tony Parker, and then leaked where he wanted to be traded to a sycophantic reporter over keeping his wants in-house(thereby ing his trade value to the Spurs).
He's the biggest head the Spurs have ever had on the team. He single handedly ed our last season and set us on a course for being a stepping stone team for years. He did all of this to the team that made him what he is today. He did all this to teammates and coaches that he's gone to the finals and conference finals with multiple times. He's taking all the skills/professionalism from a top 3 coach of all time to the Lakers next year.

I only watch basketball for entertainment and he's a good player. I am curious to see how he does elsewhere. If you don't care and don't want to watch him, don't. If other fans are still very upset about last season, don't keep bumping this thread to begin with.
So last year is last year, in what way does it bother you? If you don't want to watch him don't. I probably will occasionally (and also other teams.) I am also lukewarm about this season. I don't live in SA. I moved in 2014, many games are actually too late for me to watch. I mentioned I may start watching east teams more, particularly if the Spurs don't hold my interest. Right now I am interested to see how they start, and I think they will be better than projected bc frankly the media has gone too far predicting their demise. They have a lot of uncertainties that may turn out well... I was very disappointed with the trade initially but have had time to get used to it by now and move on as far as the Spurs are concerned too.

I'm just confused as to how any person who claims to be a Spurs fan could look at him and see anything other than a contemptible piece of or want to watch the player who made us irrelevant.
