Dude, I post on track and field forums, I used to moderate the top sprint site on the internet the famous...SUB10. To read guys like you who get a nut acting re ed is what I expect, that is the internet. So I have fun with all this stuff. In order to have that fun I have to play my role.

Stone Johnson was a RB out of Grambling who just happened to be one of the fastest humans on earth. He was a 9.3/20,6WR cat.
So he gets drafted after the 1960 Olympics, yep, he was an Olympian.
Now there had never been any RB in history with 9.3 jets prior to Stone Johnson. He would be the fastest RB ever.....

He died 10 days later, on September 8 at the age of 23.[1] Although he was only on the team's active roster during preseason, his jersey number 33 was retired.[2][3]

Bob Hayes always get this....he changed the game, his speed had never been seen before. That is sorta true but..
In the early 50's the Rams drafted Bob Boyd out of Loyola, he was the NCAA 100 yard champ and had 9.5 jets (Hayes 9.1). Now in the early 50's we still had white DB's. So a 9.5 cat to these slow white guys was actually just as dramatic as Hayes 9.1 vs faster black defenders.
Boyd was also big for his day 6-2/201 pounds. He'd have over a 1000 yards in 1954.
Robert Barrett Boyd (March 7, 1928 – May 14, 2009) was an American football end and wide receiver in the National Football League, playing for the Los Angeles Rams for eight seasons. His most spectacular season was in 1954, when he caught 53 passes for 1,212 yards and 6 touchdowns.
While at Loyola Marymount University, Boyd won the 100-yard dash at the 1950 NCAA Championships.

Major problems today with that fantasy TCU 4x1 relay
TCU has had 8 sub10.00 sprinters among the alum. Well yesterday former Horn Frog Ronnie Baker ran a 9.88, but....
TCU has the great Jon Drummond on the leadoff leg. He has to be there.
On that second leg they have St. Kitts World Champion Kim Collins. How do ya keep a World Champion off a 4x1?
The third leg has another 9.8 cat Darvis Patton who has a ton of 4x1 experience on National teams.
Jamaican Ray Stewart who has been ranked number one in the world has to anchor, he is one of the greats.
How in the can ya not have a 9.88 sprinter on your 4x1 team?
TCU is the only school that can run two 4x1 teams where everybody there ran a sub10.00

SFS big meet in Lausanne this weekend, and a HUGE race.
USC's Michael Norman ran a WORLD RECORD indoor 400m, he ran a stunning 43.03 4x4 leg, the second fastest of all time, he broke the NCAA 400m record, he ran on two record breaking 4x4 teams. And......ran a great 19.84 last weekend in Paris.
Noah Lyles who went straight from HS into pro track is the world leader at 200m with a 19.69. At our USA Nationals he cooked a world leading 9.89 beating the undefeated Ronnie Baker (who got the lead back inParis with a 9.88)
In Lausanne it's going to be Lyles vs Norman in the 200m, so being our track SOURCE if you are ever going to do anything, here it is, so what's your take?
