i'll just claim you're oblivious then... i see a lot of this online and in real life. i have a friend who's mexican and so is his gf, we hang out and then i hear "white people this, white people that" and i have to remind her i'm in the room. they're young and she's not lived long enough to know wth she's speaking of. god bless her but it is becoming mainstream no matter how much you want to turn a blind eye to it or dismiss it altogether.

i don't really have a grievance tbh. i see and read the but it doesn't phase me much. in time it might start to really irk me but at the moment all i'm doing is trying to contribute to this thread.

ugh i hate semantics but ok... it's upsetting but it's not something i dwell on all day nor is it really an issue rn to me. i see it, i can somewhat see it spiraling out of control in due time, and i am here smh at the thought that you don't see it too. i'm not overly upset nor dwelling on this issue outside of this thread.

yall would laugh if you saw buzzfeed's office in LA. i walked past that pos daily while i was out there. it's a small all black warehouse with like a castle motif style to it on top. it looked like a vacant lot tbh. same with a bunch of studios i've heard about but thought they were huge places until i visited LA. small outlets parading online as huge ventures. it blew my mind! my buddy out there claims that buzzfeed has another office but i think in dtla.

BuzzFeed and many other online media outlets do not make much or any money. They still have a popular website though.

life is a struggle pav. you think i have it easy because i'm white? i don't have it easy. i live "check to check" and am barely able to get out of this town like i did recently. i don't make much $ nor have the govt/cops treated me like a king in the past. you have no clue pav. you speak from an en led, emotional, and pretentious mindset. a faux intellectual is all you are buddy.

It's 2019 and people are changing more based on your skin color. Is this going to be national news? Is decision making of a festival less newsworthy than some random person calling the police on someone? Is less indicative of the state of our country than a teen smiling at some asshole beating his drum inches from his face? Perhaps this just isn't the narrative the "news" wants to push because it doesn't fit their agenda.
