No, I praised that Presti traded up to get Poku
You must have not seen the news when you posted and and confused that MIN was taking him
They will trade up into the top 10
They will trade down
They will stand pat with the 11th pick
They will trade the pick for player(s)
who’s your top 3 preference for Spurs?

We don't really disagree. I just think they could suck a lot more than they do. Like had they just waived LMA to save money or whatever, they'd be a much worse front office. That's just dumb. That they in general want to run it back and not make huge win-now moves also isn't what makes them bad. I just think they need to strike a better balance of competing and rebuilding than they're doing now.
But things like the Carroll signing are objectively horrible. Gasol and Mills were defensible if not even fine outside of the dumb structuring of Gasol's deal. But how can you sign a guy the coach hates when your coach runs your front office? Doesn't make any sense. And I'll never get over wasting the 2015 first on Miluntinov. It was a bad pick, but it was also such an obviously ty thought process that bore no fruit anyway, and the Spurs not having a viable developmental big bit them in the ass for multiple years (basically leading to the Gasol signings and the prioritizing of Poeltl in the Leonard deal).
Honestly, outside of those two things and the causal chains they started, I've been much more frustrated with Pop than I am with RC/Wright. His ty coaching sank the Spurs last year.
So, who ended up with Poku? Wolves or OKC? I'm lost.
LMA and DEROZZ going to be playing Hero ball cause they want to get the out of dodge and get that new contract
Pretty sure OKC did.
OKC traded with MIN to get Poku
I posted after WOJ had posted it
Rubio was involved in the deal, and that's why I praised Presti for sending his over-30 vets out to get picks and take a swing on high risk players
Yep. After-market. Thunder have all kinds of trade bait.
ing ESPN didn't anounce that trade. I just saw Poku with a Wolves hat.
Presti![]()
I’m just comparing them to the division and conference. They draft well but mostly they’ve done nothing. You don’t get credit for that imo. They are paralyzed and as you said coaching sucks.
This is what bothers me:
SA has been lapped.
DAL is better & brighter future
MEM is better & brighter future
NO is better & brighter future
Okc is better & brighter future
Suns are better & brighter future
Denver is better & brighter future
They cannot “do nothing” themselves into a better future.
It’s a results business. If not making mistakes was the right decision and got you ahead? Great. I would be singing their praises.
But they are way behind. Way. Behind. And it’s getting worse. So that plan is unjustifiable.
Richardson going from 76’ers to Mavs
Seth curry going back to philly. There goes mills to philly option. Ugh running it back
Bet 76ers got Seth curry for him, someone similar to patty
I mean, it's not that hard to be better than Murray, and I don't really care if they're younger. The Spurs would do well to not get out of DJM's deal if they don't think he's going to a top-2 or -3 player in their coffers (right now, I have him at at best fourth behind White, Johnson and Vassell and personally behind Walker Poeltl and probably 41). Protecting that young core is the first priority. The second priority can easily be to be the best team the Spurs can be this year. That's in some way for the sake of Pop and the vets. But it's also for the sake of the team's culture and the young players growing up in it. Just as Miami didn't tank when they rebuild, so won't the Spurs.
I'm not down for making MKE- or even Portland-level trades. But you can argue it intersects the Spurs' goals of rebuilding and competing by moving Murray for a better-fitting piece that also lets them shed DJM's salary going forward.
One more year of Fatty Mills, greaaat...
Yep that’s exactly what I happened
you'll go to the jersey retirement
To cough on his face probably.
If you're going to compare the Spurs free agency and trades to the rest of the West, then yeah, they might not look great
Futures this, future that
But if you look ahead while you're behind the wheel, you can see the rearview mirror. It makes you SAFE! Maybe we all need to look behind us to the past instead of the future.
So how come nobody ever compares the years 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014 to the rest of the West?
Makes you think, doesn't it?
*sniffs loudly*
I get 76ers need shooting but that’s all they got for Josh Richardson, that’s crazy
I have my "Golden Shrine Landscaping of Theo Maledon" thread ready, tbh...
EDIT:
damn it
