Love seeing Manu in the war room with PATFO. Pretty dope.

Same, it’s crazy that someone who was drafted by them is now in the war room with PATFO and on the other side of the draft process. Also, this leads me to believe that a. They really value Manu’s input, hence him being there and b. Manu might have a bigger role with the organization other than just as “special advisor”.

Wemby didn't even answer the call. And Tony recorded his message. If I had to guess, I'd say that Wemby and Tony don't have much of a relationship. Maybe it's a "never meet your idols" kind of situation?

In case any of you nerds wanna go welcome him at the airport tbh.

It’s me. I’m the nerd. Decided to swing by the airport on my way home from work after I saw that his flight got delayed again and wasn’t landing til 4. It was on my way home and I got there just in time. Got to see Wemby and his family walk off the plane. It was pretty chaotic with so many people trying to get a glimpse — so many custom made signs, shirts, jerseys, etc. — Wembymania is real.

He did a little walk around to make sure everyone got a peak at him. He kept shaking his head in disbelief. He couldn’t believe how many people were there waiting to greet him in the 100° heat. Was a great welcome for he and his fam tbh. He signed a handful of peoples jerseys through the fence but there were just way too many people.

Also got to meet so Sochan. He actually came past the fence line towards the crowd and signed a bunch of people’s . Was pretty cool. Sochan’s a man of the people tbh. RC and Brian drove by us on the way out too. Wemby looked appreciative though which was good to see tbh.

Oh he was greeted with a Water Salute when he landed too, and everyone thought his 6’8 brother was him for a solid 2-3 minutes cause his brother came off the plane first wearing a Wemby jersey . Even the news cameras were all following his brother around until they realized.

Here’s a pic of Wemby after he landed. RC, Brian, and Holt Jr. greeted him and they were gone within 5-10 minutes.

I think Sochan's going to be a heck of a player and a big time cornerstone of the Spurs' rotation for many years to come.

That said, I would probably like him better if he didn't do the Dennis Rodman schtick with his hair. It's disgusting and reminds Spurs fans of the mid 90s when we were the NBA's biggest perennial playoff chokers.

If Anyone's interested, Sidy Cissoko's Southwest flight lands at 11:08 PM. The tenth fan gets a SuperSaver flight discount coupon.

I'm sure Tex-Mex cuisine is going to be an adventure for him.
It can be very good. I'm a fan.
I'm in El Paso and we're not very Tex-Mex over here, but it exists.
I did grow up in Cen-Tex so I'm exceedingly familiar with it myself.
