Worst coach in the league. Stupid starting lineup. Fox needs to play defense like crazy because the rest can't and also carry the team on offense. And then he finds a way to play Keldon Jonhson 16 minutes to put a bunch of 0 on the box score.

Mitch Johnson is bad. He may be good in the future but he's not a coach for this team.

We were a 10 pt favorite. They had starters injured. Once again we lose a game because we allowed too many offensive each rebounds, 2nd chance points, and wide open 3s.

This is the kind of loss that can light a fire under players' asses. Hornets shot insanely good tonight, Spurs played like but that didn't help.

Great to see Fox maintaining his Clutch Player of the Year form. And Castle, he's looking like a special player. Hopefully the All Star Weekend outing gives him a confidence boost for the second half of the season, we need to see more of him like tonight.

Vassell... We gotta swindle him onto some team. Offseason Priority #2 after a competent bigman

Also, Castle was giving Lamelo a fit on defense, why go away from hin as the primary stopper on Ball? Can't ilunderstand that. Lamelo was toying with us, Castle did a great job clamping on him. But in the oast few defensive possessions, Castle wasnt tasked to defend Ball. Why Mitch?

Where would the Spurs be if Castle didn't fall into their laps. They'd be screwed if they didn't get him. De'Aaron probably doesn't request a trade to the Spurs if there's no Steph on the team. They're darn lucky that he fell to them. Spurs got lucky but it looks like they're pissing it away with poor coaching and player development. Some poor personnel choices too for the players on the team.
I mean, what the , he's not starting and he's not even the first guy off the bench. What in the is the coaching of this team doing? Maybe we won't get in such big holes if the right lineups are used.

I think Steph helped and left Bridges open on that last shot? Great game apart from that last play.

Sucks that, that De'Aaron's shot was late. I didn't celebrate much as it looked late. Darn it. I really wanted this win, but they didn't deserve it. A few players played great. Most were terrible, or had terrible stretches.

I should never have stayed up to watch this. Didn't get any sleep and have to go to work soon .
Yeah, my wife was celebrating but I knew that was getting called off.

As I said, we didn't deserve the win anyways with the piss-poor performance the team turned in.

Castle was the only bright spot. Victor didn't look great, Fox is still learning so I'll give him a pass (and he almost pulled it off for us)...everyone else looked like .

People will direct the final play and that's fine but the Spurs lost this game cause they're a poor shooting team that can't rebound. Story of our season tbh. Hate that we wasted Castle's best game of the season too.

Wemby wasn't at the rim. He was guarding Salaun and they had him way out by half court intentionally to draw Wemby away from the basket which was smart.
You’re getting my point… why cover outside when you’re a shot blocker? That’s an obvious play. Switch, stay in the paint

That was smart the 1st time. But this already happened 3 or 4 times in the end of games. Our coaching staff sucks.

I'm so tired of Mitch Johnson, how you not drill it into them not to leave any 3 point shooters open?
Yup. A lot of poor decisions down the stretch. Passes that should have been shots, shots that should have been drives, etc. Even with all that, they had a chance to steal one they didn’t deserve.

Castle is still a rookie, but that should have been the last thing the team heard from a screaming coach before the last defensive possession: DO NOT LEAVE THE 3-POINT LINE! Play your man solid, two DOESN’T beat us!

The good news is that Castle is legit.

The bad news is that he might end up being our best player in a year or two tbh.

Isn't that Del Curry, famous dad?
I don't think Curry is the lead announcer but I could be wrong. Both the Lead announcer and the color commentator were good.

They weren't homers and were getting excited even when the Spurs made a good play.

Rebounds also hurt us.Not getting a second big is killing us.Bad decision from our front office.
Yep, without looking at the stats, I assume the Spurs were smashed on the boards.

Good loss, this should sting everyone in that locker room.

It has to be acknowledged that our perimeter defense especially with regard to the initial reactions, the switchers need to decisively make decisions on what to pursue as far as actions go. This is a good game to show on tape. Some haphazard ass play which only shows the team is trying to acclimate with these roster changes.

Also, the Charlotte Hornets probably played their best game of the season offensively from 3 point land. This defense needs to figure it the out.

Castle should absolutely start, but Pop would fire Mitch if he dares to bench CP3. CP3 is actually older than him There‘s no chance of that happening, unless Chris gets tired of losing and requests it himself

Whats worst is castle is not first off the bench. The balls of mitch to have keldon and sochan come off the bench before him.

Sure that the mold of "close heartbreaking loss that lights a fire under the team's ass" doesn't ring you any bells?

The 2013 NBA Finals come to mind.

I got a little excited when he hit the shot, but that is only when the shot went in. I knew beforehand that it didn't look like he got it off in time. Everything else you said is pretty much 100% spot on.

Think yall being to tough on this team and the interim coach. The game was there to be won and Fox did that just a little late . As others had said Wemby wasn’t special but he is the least of the problems and it looks like Castle can be a key piece on a contender. Future is bright. Spurs aren’t winning a chip this year so the goal is to develop and gel. Not saying don’t call out the mistakes by players or the staff but keep some healthy perspective.

he wasn't, it was sochan who was giving lamelo a fit, and castle was then finding the right moment to double for the steal
