GT is good, but I feel like GT4 is almost the same game as GT1, with prettier graphics.
Okami should be added to the list as well.
How could I forget about Guitar Hero and RE4. I was addicted to the first few releases of burnout, but I lost interest as the series went on and the absence of online mode in newer games.
I'll always have a soft spot for GT because it was the first game i bought for PS1 *sob*. I remember I got so frustrated I stopped playing the game for 6 months, picked it up again and played through until I beat it.
I'll also add SSX Tricky/SSX 3, MLB 06: the show, Timesplitters 2, and Splinter Cell to that list.
I never got into Shadow of the Colossus, I'll probably give it a spin over the summer.

I'm tempted to buy a PS2 just for Okami. It looks like a really fun game to play.

beat GH2 on easy, medium, now working on hard....
hopefully they have the GH1 songs available on the Marketplace soon.
Trying to argue who's winning the HDDVD/BLURAY "war" is like trying to agrue who's winning the Iraq "war". Both will lose to downloadable content a la iTunes and appleTV. APPLE WINS!!!!!!!! sony and MS!

besides, high-def files are MASSIVE, especially full-length feature movies.
What is Apple TV? Do they have special channels on it?
have you dl'd a movie from iTunes? Granted it's not HD but it only took me around 20 minutes for a 90 minute movie and considering a couple years ago it took me that long to DL a song, i think speeds will continue to increase to the point where a HD movie can be downloaded within that same time.
huh? Apple is on the board for the initiative, but it's been spearheaded by Sony. Apple, TDK, Dell, Hewlett Packard, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and Universal Music Group are all part of it.
AppleTV hooks up to your HDTV and syncs iTunes content to your tv wirelessly. you can get a movie off iTunes and watch it on your tv. it's already been hacked for xvids by the SA folks. it's a very neat concept, and the hacks can make it even better.
As of this morning or last night, song packs from GH1 are available for download. 500pts for a 3 song pack.
MS points are such a joke, Its worse than the ing tickets you have to buy at carnivals and stupid like that.
I've been researching HDTV's the last week because I'm saving up for one. I've read numerous times about "Gaming Mode". Does anyone know what this is and how it works? Also if anyone knows of any good deals on 27 to 32 inch tv's let me know.

I'm only starting the hard career as of last night. I downloaded all the new song packs, since I never got to play GH1. I'm looking to get another guitar so my fiancee can co-op with me.

Sony is leading the charge, but Apple is it's strongest backer. I said Apple is Blu-ray because they are exclusive to the format along with MGM, 20th Century Fox and others. Just like Universal is HD-DVD exclusive.
Depends on the TV; it's useless on mine. Game mode reduces the response time for your tele to help decrease lag. It does this (on most sets) by simplifying the algorithims used for up-scaling and de-interlacing that's being done by the tv. The picture's quality suffers a little in exchange. But this is only done on inputs like 1080i and 480i and not progressive inputs, so it really depends. My advice: never use it.
