tbh Texas Tech is the most predictable/mediocre team in the country.
-sweep their annual ty non-conference schedule
-beat the Big XII bottom dwellers and get one win against a team that's about at their level
-lose every single game against ranked teams. Have 'moral victory' type games at home, and get blown out on the road
when is this break dancing got of a head coach going to get canned? Atleast with Leach we were guaranteed one big upset every season. Now it's a guaranteed loss everytime we play a ranked team. For a 'football school' I don't think it's unreasonable to give us one season every now and then where we're in the top 10 atleast into October. Outside of 2008 it's never happened. Just the same year after year

That is a first for me. But got to love CDC, he is a passionate AD
Not exactly the same stakes, but exactly the same play!

Defense still sucks but hook em’ horns! A win is a win!!
I'd be feeling so much different about this team if we had won last week. 8-2 seems so much better than 7-3 even though it's only a one game difference.
Stream of consciousness
Why do we continue to let teams hang around?
This team is absolutely infuriating.
Herman seems fine with literally proving it’s tough to win any game.
If we had not stripped Jett twice, I could declare him a Heisman QB from this game.
Orlando is not going anywhere.
We won again playing our C game, B on offense, and F on defense. Our kicking game bumps it to a C.
I watched Calvin Anderson fairly closely, no way he is drafted in early rounds.
He had some really poor individual plays.
Hager was damaged and played like it.
Gary Johnson has a real problem shucking blocks.
Our offense must have to take it easy on the defense this year in practice, what a flip-flop in ability.
Ehlinger still has to learn to get rid of the ball quickly when pressured up the middle and driven backwards. He has a real problem getting his 235 lbs going forwards if he is forced backwards. Other than that, the improvements are tremendous. I don’t recall him even having a ball batted down at the line of scrimmage.
That was fake news, CDC wasn’t ejected. Brian Davis is a tool and that goes for all his statsman brothern.
Nice take. Like you, I watch Anderson and Vahe tonight and I came away very unimpressed. I would argue Vahe hasnt gotten any better than his Freshman year.
Also, agree about the flip flop this year. The offense is becoming (has become) the reliable part of this team and the defense has become so inept this year. Maybe next year is the year that both are good. One can hope. I mean the defense cant be much worse than these last 3 games. I really hope one of LJH, Collin or both come back next year because this offense could be really good next year.
The Football Brainiacs are saying good news is coming in the "very near future."
If anyone missed it, USC went down again last night.
Cal 15, USC 14.
Shout out to Cal for taking down USC last night. The stars seem to be lining up just right for Bru, you'd hope.
