KD still hasn't practiced tho so he may not return or could return injured. Plus Iguadala flared up his injury this game. So things are looking great overall for Toronto.
The atmosphere of that crowd was pretty incredible last night. They are so passionate about this team. So from that standpoint they deserve a championship. But obviously it’s hard for me to root for that considering who the best player is.

Actually Dubs double teaming allowed Kawhi to dish and got his teammates started. I hate this guy, but Kawhi is a true unselfish player (Spur-ques I suppose) continually attacking the paint, not to shoot but suck the defense to him to dish to an open player, even passing layup to get Siakam going. I’m rooting for Dubs to lose. Maybe Kawhi stays in Toronto, if he’s not coming back, better than going to LA.

spurs probably could've gotten siakam but didn't demand him... they probably just insisted on him but then didn't wanna include someone like forbes in the deal
Just read that raptors refused to include siakim. Not sure how reliable the source is where I read that though

Quite a tale the Raptors crafted here. Then uncle Dennis' crap is thrown in there as well.

And yet the condition has still not been disclosed. Sorry, not buying it. The mysterious condition is probably the one he will have the rest of his career - a chronic tendon condition/disease. Is it really an injury or a condition?

Just because someone says something does not make it true. They have had a long time to put together this narrative - the group, the Raptors. And yet, we and they still don't know if this guy can play a full season.

If the Raptors s out $230MM, will they still stay away from back to backs next season? Will they s out a loyalty contract for this season that could cripple them in the future regarding the cap? To them it might be worth it.

I would have respected KL more if he would have played out his contract this year in San Antonio and just left. Instead he (or his group) impugned the integrity of the entire Spurs organization who have demonstrated a very conservative program for its players for the last 25 years since Pop and RC came on board. Nephew and his group purposely destroyed his value on the trade market so any team he went to would not pay fair market value. This rotten situation just bugs the h*ll out of me. I wish the Spurs would have traded Nephew to Atlanta or Orlando last year, but they instead provided him a platform to "rest" and still have a chance to do what he should have done last year - play in the playoffs.

I wish the Spurs organization would counter the accusations being thrown at them the last year and a half by Uncle Dennis, Nephew, and his group but they generally don't really go public their stuff. I guess it is not worth it. The ownership would probably not have been comfortable s ing out over $200MM to a player who demonstrated lukewarm commitment to the team and the city.

The article does show how the Raptors players were kept in the dark all season long by the whims of Nephew and whether he plays or not.

Has this run with Toronto been the most fun Leonard has had in his NBA career? “Obviously, it’s a lot more fun when you’re getting plays called for you and you’re able to live your childhood dream in being able to shoot the ball 20 times a game,” he said. “The offense is coming toward you, rather than just being out there doing one job. Because when you first come in as a rookie, unless you’re like a top-10 player, you’re really not going to touch the floor a whole lot, or get the offense run through you.” – via ESPN

Kawhi Leonard: “That kind of throws you off, or for me just like puts you in a box somewhat. You have to figure out a way to have fun. Like I said, being a child, I didn’t envision myself just being in a box in the NBA. But once that time comes, I feel like you’re just having more fun and you’re able to experience the game and grow as a player, making plays, seeing double-teams and finding other guys. It just gets more fun. You’re able to do a lot more.” – via ESPN

So Leonard says more in these two quotes than he did for an entire year last year. What a load of horsecrap. He put himself before his team last year and screwed them over. Just a dirtbag that can bounce and shoot a ball.

I thought Kawhi was all about winning (he said so), but he then says has to be the one taking the 20 shots when he is out there so the game can be fun for him. Tim Duncan (a real Hall of Famer) would never make that kind of statement.

This guy had not talked for years, but now he has to. I thought Uncle Fester was a PR and Imaging guru. I guess not given what his prize pupil is saying.

So ESPN is now confirming the Spurs dianosis of the leg issue? Did I miss something?

Agree. And tbh he plays a lot of Spurs-que with efficiency, team plays. I just feel bad he’s doing this with another team.

Thanks for clarifying that Kwitter after letting the press throw Parker under the bus for a couple of years.
