He’s not forcing shots against 4 defenders, he’s not chucking 30 shots, he’s not ball hugging and always willing pass, he doesn’t scorn at his teammates as beneath him, lol when he pumped his chest and cautiously glanced at Pops area though

Certainly he had above average athleticism, but he was never a freak and lacked lateral quickness. Apart from a decent jumper, he was also very raw coming out of USC. That's why it took him a long time to create the necessary repertoire of skills needed to provide space (footwork, handle, PnR playmaking).

5.2 APG is not that low for a scoring guard IMO. He also did it in 33MPG. He also had an elite point guard next to him whereas this season his PG(FORBES) is literally a SG in a PG's body. And LOL those three guys you mentioned were not even that good shooters, especially Patterson who threw up bricks after bricks. He's facilitating more than ever. I love the offense thus far. I hated Dwane Casey for never posting up DeRozan when he was hot. Things seem to be different now. I see that he's in the post more often which is one of his biggest strengths. DD is the last dying breed of post up/Footwork/midrange shooting guards that we grew up watching
