I wouldn't be suprised to see Elson start tomorrow night. Oberto is a HORRIBLE matchup against the Suns, so I really hope he doesn't see much time at all.
I do have to say that this was a typical spurs game in utah!!Hard to watch sometimes..

Disagree.
The Spurs were out there fighting. If the bigs could have kept the rebounding decently within range, the Spurs walk away with a win.
Duncan played well. Parker played very well. Ginobili was competing. Horry played well. The hole in the middle was just too large to overcome.
Look out! Junior got a new calculator for Christmas...
Elson was horrible today. His rebounds were of the accidental variety and his defense was non-existent. And he still can't set a screen.![]()
But Oberto was equally as horrible in my eyes.
I saw oberto maybe get off a 2 inch vertical leap for one of his rebound attempts and actually got his hands on the ball!!SO close, So close!!
History would disagree with that.
Although after seeing Oberto tonight, I don't think he could do much against anyone when he plays in his zombie state.
i was amazed at how inept elson is at rebounding. he can't even time his jumps properly. there were a lot of times that he jumped too early...wtf???
Anyways, the one bright spot was parker and his play. He is definatly becoming an elite pg..
Accidental Rebounds >> Nonexistent Rebounds.
My intro to the game was the 14-2 run or whatever at the start of the third. It'll be interesting to see the +/- stats for this one.
Go to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Honestly, the rebounding was insanely bad in the 3rd, but not really horrible the rest of the game. If you want to say anything, you can say that the Spurs played one poor quarter and 3 good ones. It is definetly not the other way around.
Hmm, I don't remember what he did against them last time, but thinking about Oberto guarding either Amare or Marion doesn't exactly make me happy.
the spurs played their asses off but what makes me really pissed is that we wasted this effort in a loss!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we got to go on the highway to with the Suns and try to make that a close game.
htf did we lose against a boozer-less jazz, lets enjoy the b2b loss...we are so goin to lose tommarow...
duncan wasted his performance tonite
That was Oberto's 11-for-11 game. 22 and 10, IIRC.
Phoenix was whom he had the 11-for-11 game against.
Although it is clear that his offensive game is nonexistant if you just make a half-assed attempt to guard him.
i will come to the conclusion that oberto + elson < rasho or nazr
these 2![]()
time to n give butler minutes, at least he can n jump more than 1inch off the ground...
My sense of the game was Elson was worse on the +/- than Oberto but someone would have to run those numbers. His defense was worse...but they both were awful.
ELSON AND OBERTO Played NOTHING!!! The Spurs started 6 of 10 and then went on 3-13 from the field - they WERE Pathetic until the 4th when they made a nice run - unfortunately, you need to paly HARD for 48 min. and the Spurs DON'T HAVE CENTERS right now to win an NBA le...
once bonner comes back the rebounding will get better... that is if he comes back 100%
Could be worse. You guys could be the Nuggets
4 straight losses to the Jazz, Nets, Bobcats and Blazers!! LOL They suck
Yeah, that AI/Carmelo thing has been magic, hasn't it?![]()
This is the luxury to have MULTIPLE SUPERSTARS in your team - you will get multiple losess...![]()
