I wouldn't be suprised to see Elson start tomorrow night. Oberto is a HORRIBLE matchup against the Suns, so I really hope he doesn't see much time at all.

The Spurs slept for 3 1/2 quarter in this game
    Disagree.

The Spurs were out there fighting. If the bigs could have kept the rebounding decently within range, the Spurs walk away with a win.

Duncan played well. Parker played very well. Ginobili was competing. Horry played well. The hole in the middle was just too large to overcome.

Tim had 5 blocks, that means in the last 10 games he has 38 total. thats 3.8 blocks per game.
Look out! Junior got a new calculator for Christmas...

I'll take your word for it, but that must have been some pretty fancy doing in a game where everyone admits the #1 problem was rebounding, and one guy was averaging zero rebounds per 48 and the other was averaging 24. Elson must have been grabbing the ball from Tony and handing it to Deron Williams.

Elson was horrible today. His rebounds were of the accidental variety and his defense was non-existent. And he still can't set a screen.

But Oberto was equally as horrible in my eyes.

    History would disagree with that.

Although after seeing Oberto tonight, I don't think he could do much against anyone when he plays in his zombie state.

i was amazed at how inept elson is at rebounding. he can't even time his jumps properly. there were a lot of times that he jumped too early...wtf???

    Accidental Rebounds >> Nonexistent Rebounds.

My intro to the game was the 14-2 run or whatever at the start of the third. It'll be interesting to see the +/- stats for this one.

Honestly, the rebounding was insanely bad in the 3rd, but not really horrible the rest of the game. If you want to say anything, you can say that the Spurs played one poor quarter and 3 good ones. It is definetly not the other way around.

Hmm, I don't remember what he did against them last time, but thinking about Oberto guarding either Amare or Marion doesn't exactly make me happy.

the spurs played their asses off but what makes me really pissed is that we wasted this effort in a loss!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we got to go on the highway to with the Suns and try to make that a close game.

    That was Oberto's 11-for-11 game. 22 and 10, IIRC.

Phoenix was whom he had the 11-for-11 game against.

Although it is clear that his offensive game is nonexistant if you just make a half-assed attempt to guard him.

I don't know .. the suckage factor was pretty much even. At least Elson grabbed a few boards. Oberto didn't grab a board and was getting abused on the low block.

    Amazingly abused.
My sense of the game was Elson was worse on the +/- than Oberto but someone would have to run those numbers. His defense was worse...but they both were awful.

ELSON AND OBERTO Played NOTHING!!! The Spurs started 6 of 10 and then went on 3-13 from the field - they WERE Pathetic until the 4th when they made a nice run - unfortunately, you need to paly HARD for 48 min. and the Spurs DON'T HAVE CENTERS right now to win an NBA le...
