    Stat of the half is Iverson and Anthony being a sickly efficient 11-19 in the first half. Have to make those guys hoist up bunches of shots to score if you're going to be successful.

    It sure doesn't help that the Spurs haven't done a damned thing to slow down Nene.

    But they've got to work Iverson and Carmelo.

    Defense starts offense but that goes both ways. When you put up tough shots and miss them you make it easier for the opposing offense to get into a rythmn. Thats why basketball is a game of runs. Spurs play well on D and go on a run, The Spurs make bad offensive decisiions and play bad offense and the Nuggets get the lead back and go on a run. You have to control both sides of the court in order to go on a run in this game.

    early on Elson did some cleaning up and made a couple of dunks and did get one vote for the defensive team from some reporter somewhere but the dude was doing good at the beginning.

    Defense is decent, they are committing touch fouls apparently. Parker's penetrating, the centers are playing well.
