Oh, and leave it up to a Dallas Maverick to get the job done. Not many other owners are smart enough to "sports mul ask"

Might be the worst owner in sports......
And my above comment isn't to be taken seriously.![]()
I got Guida.
It will be a very interesting match up. I give the edge to Guida as well but nothing surprises me in MMA anymore.
I'd like to see that matchup. I'm suprised LEONARD hasn't jumped in here -- he hates Huerta. He wanted him to fight someone decent. Is he decent enough? I'd like to see him fight someone like Din, but this would be a good fight. I think Guida could take it.
LOL...I don't hate Huerta...I'm just tired of having him shoved down our throats...
Guida would be a perfectly suitable test for him...
I thought you hated him, sorry. I know you said he was overrated -- drawing conclusions. He has the most fights this year, I believe; I agree it's ridiculous.
I don't have a problem with them somebody fighting really often either, as long as they're not fighting a UFC newcomer EVERY fight...![]()
Cuban live now

LEONARD and I hung out the other day.
He picked me up and he had a voodoo doll hanging from his rear view mirror and it was Huerta. Had lots of pins and burns on it.
Other than that he is good people.

Well, with as much talent as they have in the stables, I don't like it. Also, they are putting him on main cards, while Guida and Aurelio are forced to prelims? I do go agree with feeding him cans -- it's worthless.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong. I like Huerta's style so far and he looks like he can become a contender, especially considering his age, but he's had too many fights this year against low level compe ion.
Agreed
More on Mark Cuban's "HDNet Fights"...

and Caplan has a good recap of the press conf / conf call today...

I emailed Cuban and he said the first card "will be a test platform to build on." Lots of people are thinking he's going hard after some top free agents, but it doesn't seem like that is their business model. We'll see...
Regardless, will bring more fights to Dallas...![]()
Is that a joke?
Yes. A very bad one and I would like to pretend I never made it.![]()
IFL
Big changes coming. About 5 months ago it was looking like if they were going to fold it would be this time of year, looks like they are moving ahead.
"“There are some big announcements coming,” commented the IFL’s commissioner. “We’re going to keep some coaches and change others. There is always room for improvement.”:

My suggestions, pretty simple.
Less fights. They are killing these guys.
Live fights. Obvious.
Show the do entry's as a lead in to the fights.

This could be an energy drink...

Yeah I agree. UFC is going to be crazy for the next year as all this new talent settles.
I fully understand why the UFC is doing this though. They are pushing for the Hispanic market big time in 08. UFC is doing everything it can to get new fans and the die hards just have to deal with it.
That sucks...
UFC All Access: Forrest Griffin? Why? How about Shogun since most UFC fans don't know him???![]()

Interesting. I wonder if Shogun said no?
I want to see back to back ones for every fight. Both sides.
I rather liked it.
They should really be pushing Shogun more, as opposed to Forrest. Shogun has a great face for the media and presents himself well.
