Dang 9???? wow
Well I'm done with game blogs for summer league...
Spurs down 0 - 1 in the Finals
Dang 9???? wow
why is kamla such an annoying asshole
Cuz he doesn't know
I actually liked the fact that he seems to know more about the Spurs than our local sports radio guys and the beat writer for the only paper in town.
I like Kamla. Don't know why but he's alright in my book.
Looks like no one in summer league is making a huge impression...I'm particularly sorry about Anderson, that I expected to show a lot more than what his stats show.
No one of the bigs is looking a decent nba prospect...Richards and Ajinca both have the body but...that's not enough.
Coming to Co Jo ...no play maker supposed to play important minutes in important nba games can afford 10 turnovers in a summer league game level...
Till now, a sl a little disappointing (we already knew that Kawhi was a wonderful nba player...).
He's the best.
Dawson looks pretty darn good. He has adequate size and skills and might have a shot with the Spurs.
The rest (including CJ and Anderson) look like Euroleague lifers.
Dawson's only problem is that at his age he has no upside.
I honestly look at Cory Joseph as an Avery Bradley except even less NBA ready coming into the league. He's made strides since last year and I can expect more of the same thing throughout this upcoming season. He's a project point guard, if you can see improvements each year you can assume he's getting better and he's working out. If you get the same player each year he's pretty much a goner.
Interesting interview by Ajinca. (First of all, he tried to so Americanize his French accent that it's difficult to understand him, tbh )
-He did some subtle complaining about minutes. A little bit whiny but also somewhat understandable.
-He said he picked the Spurs summer league team because they told him they'd allow him to play on the inside. He's aware that he played too far out on the perimeter previously and wants to work on playing closer to the hoop.
-He also said he picked the Spurs because they might have a spot on the team for him. That might mean the Spurs could be on the lookout for another big.
According to PTR, Austin Toros assistant coach Taylor Jenkins was coaching.

Also, a sorta-confirmation on JV and Orlando:
"Though there's nothing official to report, word out of San Antonio camp is Vaughn was in discussions with Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins on Friday and is perhaps the front-runner for the team's head coaching job."
The scary thing about Joseph and especially Leonard is they haven't hit their athletic primes yet.

Leonard is an animal waiting to be unleashed already. Hopefully Corey Joseph is really maturing to end up playing real minutes next season.
A bit too early to write off CJ, he has shown great improvement in summer league play. Jamal Andersen is the probably the greatest spurs dissapointment (due to injuries) but hindsight is always 20/20. A full year for CJ playing for the TOROS will be perfect for him. With the current Point Guard depth, there is no need to waste him at the end of the bench. Patty Mills will be ahead of him. The NBA should give a team 2 roster exemptions for sending guys to the Dleague. That should never count against the 15 man roster.
There was a story early on in the Orlando coaching search that it would be a three-stage process. The first round conducted by the GM, the second round with the CEO and the final round with the owner. JV has made it to round 2.
we call him Jamal Andersen now? lol
