Missing the plot is saying something is such poor taste that you get basically universally condemned on Spurstalk. This isn't RGM -- mods don't close threads for like that.

I am not one of those memorializing Kobe or acting like he was an angel just because he's dead. But I got no pleasure out of him and the other people dying in a crash. That one could think it's okay to remove empathy on a sports forum is worrying. You shouldn't be able to turn off your empathy like that.

The more I linger around SpursTalk, the more I start to wonder whether it's the opposite - people who have no empathy to begin with, and only put on a façade of having it when in public or around people that would deem their unacceptable. Kind of like closet racists (of which there's a couple here, too).

I do appreciate them being open with their BS but it’s very sad that they feel comfortable enough to consistently spew their nonsensical rhetoric throughout the site.
