Be that as it may, you wouldn't see any other player sat for two games if they pulled that. What happened with not playing Malik against Shaq and the Lakers last season.(when we all know he plays pretty good against Shaq)...come on even Malik admitted they had problems with each other.
Indeed. Whatever it is, it's not basketball related.

Yeah, he was playing like an allstar before he got benched, it makes no sense!!

Why play a guy, that makes money, waste him and his contract on the bench, TOTALLY PROVES THE THEORY!!!

Hey, why not play a guy known for physical postseason play, including against a frontcourt with Shaq, especially when your team is losing a playoff series because it was getting physically worked inside?

No, but Malik did something in the regular season. We can't have Malik looking at Pop funny, so let's continue to do what wasn't working.

I certainly do not want Malik traded but he has not been playing well of late. Nothing wrong with saying so. We would be even worse fans if we were ignoring it. I still have confidence in the guy.

    As do I Mikey.

All Im saying, if he just plays tough, doesnt shoot jumpers, hustles, rebounds, defends, and doesnt turn the ball over, then yeah, you play him 25 minutes plus.

Until then, Horry, Rasho, Massenbrg are ahead of him in the rotation.

So if Malik doesn't play flawless basketball, as in not missing a shot, not committing a single turnover, not missing a rotation, then all is well? See this is the ing problem for most of you, you are holding Rose to an unachievable standard and yet ignore the fact that every Spur can't play like that.

If he plays better than Tony Massenburg, he gets minutes back.

    Tall order, apparently.

    No pun intended.

    lol.

He doesnt have to play perfect.

Just hustle, dont pull a in jersey over your head.

And dont throw balls out of bounds 20 feet over there head, and 20 feet behind players.

Dont play stupid, hustle, and get garbage points, and defend your position.

He HASNT!! He has been plaing 04 Malik.

Jackin up jumpers, throwing balls out of bounds in crucial parts of the game, not getting back on D.

Malik doesnt have to play flawless. Just dumbless.

you just dont in get it.

    Yes dumbless.

DONT PLAY STUPID!!! Goddamnt whats so hard to understand.

    Watch Robert Horry last night.

defend well, move without the ball, and rebound and put back shots.

Malik would rather play hide and seek under his jersey.

    Malik can do no wrong.

Robert Horry usually makes a couple mistakes a game. Mass is good for that and a few more.

I'd be worried if the Spurs weren't making some mistakes. You don't win by being passive, by not attacking the rim. I don't find it necessary to blame every Spur for every ing mistake they make.

What part of STOP with the negative comments about Malik do you guys not understand?

    Leave Malik alone!

If you are a real Spurs Fan you would SHUT THE F**K UP ALREADY and cut Malik some slack. There are times when Tim duncan, Tony Longoria (Ooops) Parker, Manu Ginobili, Rasho, and even the coach SUX at times...No one Is perfect. I know that Malik has a huge contract on his back, but that doesn't mean he's perfect... He Is just human like your ass and mine. I know that all these sorry at udes came about when Malik made the mistake of pulling his jersey over his head. And what If he did? It was just a stupid mistake that any of us Imperfect fools could of made. I personally know that this has affected him but at the same time he holds a positive at ude that everything Is going to work out for the best. So, Instead of talking s**t about Malik or any other player that belongs to your favorite basketball team...Try giving them support In the good and bad times. Believe me...You will feel much happier and blessed.

With all of the negative threads about Malik Rose! We already know that things haven't been going so well for him, so why keep on adding negative thoughts on any of the open threads that talk crap about him. I know a lot of you may not agree with me, (especially JACKASS AHF) but regardless of the mistake Malik made In the Kings game, he had been putting all of his energy In playing well. So, please stop being so negative over Malik Rose and concentrate on the good things, like the win against the Sonics last night

I mean no Malice by this but Spursgal....how old are ya?

Malik never said that he did stuff on purpose to sabotage his own team on the court. All he said in that interview was that sometimes last season he did stuff to irk Pop and made their relationship worse -- I don't think he was talking about messing up on the court.

Tell him to put all his effort and energy into getting garbage baskets and boards, instead of trying to be the 20/10/5 Tim/Manu hybrid he seems to aspire to be for some reason, and we'll leave him alone.

The truth hurts, so has Malik's play of late. If you're as tight as you say you are with him (despite the restraining order and all), do us all a favor and tell him to quit trying to save the fvcking world and just go back to '01-'02. I.E., hustle, dive for loose balls, pass more on offense, and don't try and go one on three when he has the ball.

The rest will take care of itself.

Are you mental? You're the one who started this thread, did you just expect everyone to agree with you and say OH MALIK WILL BE BACK HE DOESNT SUCK AT ALL AT THE MOMENT blah blah blah. Get real! Malik is human and I'll give you that, but he's been screwing up more than he has been producing lately and whether YOU like it or not that will be on Spurfans minds everywhere. It's just like it was with Tony when he was slumping and just like it was with Rasho. People are allowed to think whatever they want and this being a DISCUSSION forum people type out their thoughts. Quit trying to tell poeple how to think.

I too am sick of this subject and we all know everyone makes mistakes on the floor. Everyone. But Horry and others mentioned are making mistakes WITHIN their game. The problem with Malik, I think, and what brings out the negative stuff is that he is making mistakes because he is trying to go OUTSIDE his game and do things he cannot do. I don't think anyone would argue that he is trying, I am sure he feels worse about this than anyone. But, for some reason he thinks that the way to earn his minutes back are to be spectacular instead of being the hard-working, relentless tough guy in the paint that is so valuable to this team. We need the old Malik to reappear.
