RC burned that bridge, just like he did the one to Scola.
His coming over would be a long shot, even in a favorable ecomonic climate. With that economic climate situation now working against the Spurs and considering how the Spurs have limited funds available, the chances are next to zero.

It's not clear how much he was asking back then. Spurs cut out of the negotiations very early to go for Butler and Elson instead.
