The funniest banning was one of our friend's Patrick Davis ... his father, who only lurked at SR, got IP banned because Patrick had posted from his dad's house.
What's funny is that now instead of bannings they are using the v.bulletin "miserable user" code to keep certain posters from posting...keeps the "trouble makers" out but keeps their member numbers high
No suprise. They have been using a vbulletin hack to create fake users for years to make it look like they have more members than they do. Back in the day when Michael Harmon was their tech guy i saw him on the vbulletin forum asking how to create the code that would generate a false number of guests at the botoom. Their site is pretty false in general - no substance.
But hey, they are probably making some cash from their billions of ads.
I never liked the mod named Exstatic... I'll whip his ass if I ever see him at a gtg.

what's funny is that when you used to type in 'Kori Ellis' as in "what's the deal with Kori Ellis?" it would come up "what's the deal with **** *****?" like she was a bad word.
and then if you misspelled her name to get it past the auto censor, you have a mod come along and delete your post very quickly.
These days it's been the combo of Spursheriff, Amente and "SR News Editor" (Mombare) starting about 90% of all the threads and then posting in each other's threads to keep the post counts up. Crazy.
i still post over there because there's a few people left I talk with.
I don't ever recall any mod named "Exstatic" but I'll take SequSpur's word that he will get beaten up at the next gtg.

I was told SR is kicking ass and is doing twice as good as ST that is what i was told....
The one who upset me so much was (I think) Known Alien. He would write the most awful anti-Semitic stuff and I never understood how it was tolerated. Then I found out he was a mod!
