Actually, he wants to help people refinance their homes at their current value. Nice try though. By the way, last night was the first time I'd heard that from him.

Both guys are pretty much for corporate welfare and both are global warming catastrophist, so it.
I just think its funny that Obama gets painted as the socialist and McCain hammers him as "the most liberal senator" and then goes and proposes that?

Darrin I think you and I see more eye to eye than you think. I'm not comfrotable with what Barack says his plans for the economy are, but I dont' believe he'll be able to make them happen nor am I convinced he'll want them to happen.

I've seen that Obama always surrounds himself with smart people, and I think those people are telling him that he needs to say these things to get elected and they're right. Obama is playing to get elected right now, and nothing else really matters because if he doesn't get elected he can't make anything happen.

But once in office, I'm sure he'd surround himself with the smartest economic minds. And I don't care what you say about Bush, his biggest flaw was the way he built his administration and how he didn't get the smartest people around him. I mean Harriet Myers? Really?

Anyway, I'm basically saying that I'm confident in Obama's ability to have intelligence surround him and help him a long the way. Even if I don't believe in what Obama says right now, I believe in his ability to get excellent advice and make excellent decisions and thats something we're severely lacking in the White House right now.

What are you talking about? Bush hired only the very best and brightest. That FEMA dude was awesome. Just kidding.

Actually, I don't fear an Obama presidency. How can anyone screw things up any more than they're already screwed up.

I would prefer that an Obama presidency be balanced with a GOP congress. You have to admit, the current group of dem slugs (Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank, etc.) aren't the greatest.

I agree with this if we would get more GOP in there like the House GOP. And that may happen in 2 or four years kind of like in 1994. I think Bush's 8 years are going to usher in a lot of eventual change in our government.

Good post. That's basically where I am regarding Obama. He's full of BS a lot of the time ... but I'm confident either he knows that or the current financial restraints won't all him to proceed.

If I actually thought Obama was going to implement everything he talked about, I'd have to vote for McCain
