    ........,but where is the original?
Reaching much? What part of 'This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding' is not clear to you?

, my wife's original birth certificate was destroyed from wear and tear over the years. She's got a certified copy from the state. What else does she need?

if i read "copy" wouldn't you think i read the whole sentence? if it must be clear to you, then yes i did read the whole sentence and it is clear. i just noticed the June 07 2007 stamp on the other side. having that stamped fairly close to when he announced his presidency leaves me with questions. wouldn't he have needed one to run for senate or any public office he had? what did he use for those instances. i'm assuming he would need a birth certificate for those, no?

that's weak. i have my original unlaminated social security in my back pocket and i've bought many wallets. plus how in the do you wear and tear a birth certificate?

Another copy? The original which he subsequently lost? The one that the dog ate?
See, the point here is this: YOU have to prove that he did anything illegal. I'll be waiting.

that's weak. i have my original unlaminated social security in my back pocket and i've bought many wallets. plus how in the do you wear and tear a birth certificate?
The print on it is pretty much gone. It's basically illegible. It was also folded many times, and it broke at some of those parts after 30+ years.
It's not 'weak' at all. It's very real.

Obama is the one daring McCain to say it to his face. I don't know if you guys have seen Obama's answers when confronted with this, but they aren't inspiring.

And ya'll are the ones saying McCain is afraid to confront Obama on this.

Now tell me, what could he possibly have to fear from Obama?

    Nothing.

It sounds to me like he's in Obama's head. Which is exactly where he wants to be. He who can make you angry controls you.

Obama fully expected to be confronted with the Ayers stuff last night and it's ing with his head that he wasn't.

    Why wasn't he?

    Good question....he's holding it back?

Town Hall wasn't a good format for it?

Wants to be seen as positive?

Right questions to bring it up weren't asked?

Dunno...all I know is it's under Obama's skin in a major way if Obama's daring McCain to say it to his face .

McCain is not afraid of Obama...not verbally, not physicially, not in anyway. What a horrible misjudgement on the part of ya'll....

Old people in general are fearless...ya'll think about your grandparents for a second and see if you disagree. It's young people that are afraid.

People fear what they don't know and are uncertain about...and there's a lot more that young people don't know about than there is that old people don't know about.

IME, old people kinda just don't give a .

Neither do pilots who get back into planes after they've already been in 3 crashes, and then bust their ass to recover from broken bones suffered as a POW(and a crash)...to do it after 4 of them.

McCain is absolutely ing fearless in every sense of the word. I can't believe you guys think this man is afraid of anything, outside of maybe losing his temper.

your genius misses the whole point again. what a surprise

I think most ppl are saying Mcain is afraid but not of Obama. Mcain is not afraid of Obama at all. Mcain is afraid that he will look like a head in front of the nation if he acts like the head he really is.

He is afraid the nation will see the real Mcain, an old, senile, decrepit, impotent angry man who is lashing out at a young brother who is beating his ass in the election.

No. One need not be a natural born citizen to hold those offices.

And regardless, it's not a bad idea to keep your own copy of your birth certificate and then get another to keep at your campaign HQ for inspection by the press and forgery experts -- who all have verified its authenticity, BTW.

When a man on a national stage, before millions of viewers, won't look at or shake the hand, not even touch the hand, of his opponent, that's fear, that tacky, that classlessness, that's not the fair play and good sportsmanship most Americans expect in their leaders, and in their children.

McLoser is an unprincipled s bug, demonstrated more and more every day as he sees his dream of the WH slip out of his pathetic reach.

what a bunch of ing idiots.

This dude was a wrestler and boxer in the Navy. He's been in like 4 or 5 air plane crashes, he was captured by the Viet Cong and tortured for 5 years, he's had 4 bouts with cancer and he's in the twilight years of his life...

if he was such a badass why did he let his ass get captured??

McLame was shot down because, in a moment of crisis, he admits he didn't take evasive action in his faster, more nimble plane, continued his bombing run, and the SAM got him.

So his POW story is actually of his own creation, his own ing incompetence, his bad decision making, his own ing fault.

McBottomGun is much "too risky" to be in the WH.

Voting against someone because of the worst of their supporters is lame. Those videos that have been posted make me sad, but they don't necessarily reflect on McCain or Palin...except for the fact that about 5 days ago Johnny Mac must have seen the internal polling and a brick and decided to go negative.

At first I thought McCain was just old school and I believed was trying to be honorable by not bringing it up. He is a war hero but looks like a pussy wimp right now letting his no interview giving VP do the dirty work.

Nice 300 billion mortgage idea. More proof that corporate Republicans have killed conservatism. Now Bush and even McCain are supporting socialist ideas because it protects the bottom line.

Gotta love the political machismo, reminiscent of his "John McCain doesn't know what he's up against" remark.

"Say it to my face", and then what if he does, challenge him to meet you on the playground after the debate? Sucka-punch him?

Soundin' more like a juvenile delinquent than a president.

McChicken 's main surrogates and proxies are all women, his Ice Queen wife who started sliming HUSSEIN this week, his radical fundamentalist/secessionist/fringe-cult pitbull , and his stupid, fat daughter.

What's up with that? Not working out very well with the female vote, as HUSSEIN is increasing his lead in the female vote, esp independent female voters

"In our August 26th poll John McCain was up 53-29 with independent women. Now Obama is up 45-40."

John McCain is a coward. If he truly believed this Ayers stuff was relevant not a campaign strategy, he would raise it at the debates. He didn't because he's a pussy who hides behind his running mate's skirt to launch smears.

Was there some sort of pre-agreement for the debate that prevented Obama from bringing up the fact that the McCain Campaign(and countless others) has taken his association with America hater Ayers to the public?
He sat comfortably under the bigoted America hater, Jerry Wright for 20 years, so it should come as a surprise to absolutely no one that he had close ties to the like-minded America hater Ayers.

When your carefully chosen friends, associates and mentors are bigoted America haters, you have a problem.

And runnin' his mouth about it after the debate? WEAK!

This is what happens when you open up Pandora's box, Johnny Mac. You don't easily close it back up:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/1..._n_133710.html

John McCain sought to walk back some of the hostility that he and his crowds have projected towards Barack Obama in recent days, saying he wanted to run a respectful campaign and urging his supporters to think of Obama as a decent person.

    He was promptly booed.

After an attendee at his town hall said he was concerned about bringing up a child under a president who "cohorts with domestic terrorists such as [Bill] Ayers," McCain didn't take the bait. Rather, he sought to calm the questioner's obviously emotional tone.

"[Senator Obama] is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States," he said, before adding: "If I didn't think I would be one heck of a better president I wouldn't be running."

The crowd groaned with disapproval. Later in the townhall McCain was pressed again about Obama's "other-ness" and again he refused to play ball.

"He is a decent family man and citizen that I just have disagreements with on fundamental issues," he said.

People are getting foreclosed out of their homes, seeing the values of their 401Ks plummet, getting laid off, etc.

your concern over Obama's "associations" with "America haters." What about John McCain's troubling ties to Bill Ayers?

The founder of Reader’s Digest, Walter Annenberg, provided Bill Ayers with a $49.2 million education grant in the 1990s. Not only did Annenberg found Reader’s Digest, but he was also a good friend of Ronald Reagan. His widow, Leonore Annenberg, served on the same board that Barack Obama & Bill Ayers served on together (for the Annenberg Challenge.)

Leonore Annenberg is now a supporter of John McCain. The McCain campaign was proud enough of her endorsement that they included it in a press release. But using the McCain campaign’s standards, she also “pals around with terrorists.” Should they be accepting the endorsement of someone like that?
