playoffs don't exist in CFB...every game matters.

actually, in 1967 SC beat #5 t.u. in route to a national le...and SC still owns t.u. all time 4-1. get some perspective.
Win in a National Championship Game >>>>>>>>>>>>> Win in a regular season game

    get some perspective.

at this guy getting so defensive over his team and hating so much on UT for beating SC that he goes so far as to saying a regular season game win somewhat means as much as a national championship game win.

Well we now know for a fact that Penn State sucks , because Tlong is the absolute worst predictor in the history of this forum....

It's all inconsequential, no ing way texas makes it through undefeated, and the media is going to bump USC up 2 spots in the polls from here on out, even if they lose another game.

ALL I WANT out of this season is to end up playing an SEC team in a bowl. So we can shut the up all this media SEC is God hype bull . It's already a known fact that Pac10, Big10, and all those other conferences are total garbage. Now its time to show the world that losing to a bad team in your conference is not supposed to be a sign of how good your conference is.

That black woman on espn that argues with skip clueless actually said Bama could challenge an NFL team. No . That's how ridiculously overhyped the sec is.

The sec has several good teams but no great team. The big XII clearly better

I love how USC's loss to an unranked team and a horrible performance against a ty ASU squad where their offense sputtered, moves them up to anywhere even near a top 10 spot in the rankings. Meanwhile Kansas' loss ended any chance of a bowl game this year, and Missouri's looks like it may have done the same. USC is so wildly overrated the last 2 years, they should seriously be in EVERY national le game from now on due to their inevitable #1 ranking at the start of each season and the weak ass conference that they play in. I live in Tucson and get to see the ty Pac10 teams play a lot, and I honestly think there are high school teams in Texas that would give this powderpuff conference fits

I agree; SC is consistently overrated in the system. They can lose to a poor team while LSU and UGA and Mizzou can all lose to other highly ranked teams and still be behind them.

I think people try to compensate because the rest of the P10 (sort of west coast football in general) sucks so badly they fell one team needs to be rated high, whereas, well, heck you got tons of midwest/southeast teams so might as well let someone else share.

It is a conspiracy to keep the west coast interested in football because without SC they have nothing. Sort of starts at I-35 and goes west, with the annual mormon selection (Utah, Hawaii, BYU).

LDS is the fastest growing religious organization in the U.S. if I remember correctly. I think you can blame affirmative action for the annual mormon lovefest.

lol, yeah you're probably right. SC's success in the BCS and against top 10 foes probably has nothing to do with it. whats SC's final ranking been each of the last 5 years?

i think a Euless Trinity or a Plano Senior High team could give a lowly team like Washington State a very compe ive game, possibly even win if the games were in Texas

I dunno about that... SC has won as many BCS les as uo, or UT, or Florida, or Fla State, or Miami, or Tenn, or Ohio have. Ohio, uo and Fla State have lost as many BCS le games as SC has been in.

The only team west of I-35 that has been in the le game is SC (unless you count the fact UT's stadium is about 200 yards west of it).

Ehhhh tlong, in case you did not notice, ever since the 2005 championship, every BCS bowl USC has been in has been against the weakest ing undeserved team eligible for the BCS that year.

I'd like to see USC end up playin an SEC team too this year, bc I think an SEC team would rape their west coast homer ass.

    1. SC has won more BCS bowl games than anyone
    2. SC has been to as many BCS bowl games as anyone

dude, i've been over that a million times...search the forum if you want to. bottom line, i am an A&M and SC fan and have been for many many years.

So fine, you root for SC, then continue by explaining how you also root for the Spurs and the Patriots. Maybe you just have a knack for picking teams that all would conveniently begin dominating their sports at roughly the same time?

If you tell me you're a Yankees fan I might be forced to punch you right in your ovaries.
are you senile? i am from San Antonio, head. and the Saints are my NFL team. wanting the Pats to go undefeated b/c i like the way the play doesn't mean they are my team.

i can't believe how ridiculous some of you are...and the assumptions you make.

According to the guzzler Ron Mexico, you have to go to the school to be considered a fan.

Also, being a Spur/A&M/Saints fan seems straight down the line, but then you jump all the way to the left side of the country where it just so happens the most successful college football team of all time resides and you call yourself a fan of them.

    1. True.
    2. True; in a conf with the widest disparity of having different teams going, SC dominates the P10 and has gotten the auto-bid more than any other team.
    3. Yay; its funny, you know uo and UT fans consider ending the year #2 a disappointment. I guess SC fans are just jazzed to be on the show.
    4. Again, come play in the SEC or B12 and see how many 11 win seasons in a row you get.

There have been more teams from non-BCS confs in BCS Bowls (3) than 2nd P10 teams in the BCS as an at-large (2).

Only USC has multiple BCS Bowl bids - no other P10 school has more than 1.

Only twice this century have more than 2 P10 teams been ranked in the final AP poll (Az State #20 - 2004; UW #19 - 2001).

    P10 only had one team in the top 20 in 1999 (Ore #19), 1998 (UCLA #8), 1995 (SC #12), 1990 (UW #5), 1989 (SC #8), 1985 (UCLA #6), 1983 (UCLA #13) and I got tired of looking.

P10 is only a better conf than the ACC or BEast in the BCS era because SC is in it. That's all, nothing more.

if ttek even got to play that schedule every year they'd have 11 wins 7 or 8 years in a row, let alone uo, UT, LSU, Fla, UGA, etc.
And to further prove how lucky SC is to have the P10, the reason they get to go to the BCS every year - because of the patsy P10 schedule, let's look at the records of the BCS Era:

    Boise State - 103-24; 1 BCS Bid
    UT - 103-25 2 BCS Bid; 1 le
    uo - 102-28 6 Bids; 1 le
    Ohio - 98-27 6 Bids; 1 le
    Va Tech - 99-28; 3 Bids
    UGA - 97-30; 3 Bids
    Miami - 94-30; 4 Bids; 1 le
    SC - 94-32; 6 Bids; 1 le

In the BCS era, the only other P10 team in the top 20 in record is Oregon (#17) and they have 1 BCS bid. To my suprise, Oregon State was next... at #31.

The B12 has 2 in the Top 3 (the top 2 if you aren't counting Boise), Neb (18), KSU (24) and ttek (28). atm is at 42 which is still above the next P10 team (UCLA 44).

    SEC has 6, 10, 10, 16, 19.

    ACC has 5, 7, 12, 19, 27.

    BEast has 5, 14, 22, 26.

    B10/1 has 4, 9, 15,

SC makes a living feasting off of poor P10 teams to get the auto BCS bid. Have they won a good amount of games since then, yes; good on them. Getting the auto bid guarantees them a home game at the Rose Bowl where 4 of their BCS games have been and they are 3-1 (losing only to UT in the le game).

I'm sure Ohio and UT and uo would love to play a home game for a BCS Bowl, as well.
