By the way SOLID D..that WAS my bloody finger..I cut it off when Manu fouled Dirk...when Dandridge hit that jumper...when Fisher hit that shot..and every time the Spurs lost by 1...

Yes they were good players, because the teams they played were barely a team.
If the thread starter is gonna dart now when they are a winning team,
how did he make it through the late 80's when the above were playing here and they really stunk. They didn't really deseve to be in the playoffs those years when they did make them.
BTW....I never said I like Vaughn. My point is why leave now and not in the 80's?
Bye bye, moron.![]()
As D'Antoni would say : " Go go go !!!"
AC #21..U r so right...glad u see things the way I do..and not blindly worship every Spurs player like others on here...
Yeah, blind hatred is so much better.![]()
Thats what this place is for, typing what you think, when you think it, and how you think it. If you feel like JV is the man whos gonna keep ya from cheering or booing the spurs, then its your right and I for one will not say anything to keep ya from doing whatever it is your gonna do. I will give you this advice. Keep your ignore list somewhere around in the mid 120's and you'll keep yourself from wasting time with the playbabies and cheerleaders. There are some good people in here and there are some real bad ones.
Thanx 4 the advice MRSPURS..but 1 more comment to u OBSTRUCTED..I am not blind..but I did use a magnifying glass to view Vaughns career stats..2.1 career PPG in the playoffs on 34% FG pct..on second thought...OMG!!! He sucks worse than I thought!
Eh, at most you'll change your screen name.
Please close the door after you.
Yeah, I wouldn't never have put JD, Walter Berry and certainly not Alvin Robertson on that list. Offcourt issues aside, Roberston was truly one of the great players in Spurs history. A top 10, in my opinion. But we've already had that debate over the long summer and I've already exhaused myself making that case.
Probably a good idea. He has basically lost all credibility under that one...like he ever had any claiming to be a 3 decade Spurs fan with a name like Punkkboy44.
On the subject of Vaughn himself...I think we have no choice but to keep him to start the season. I love Hill as much as the next guy, but he is still a rookie and is still developing. People who want to throw all their chips in on a rookie and a streak shooter that plays no defense to spell Parker need to be a little more objective about the situation. Vaughn needs to be there for a backup plan in case there are any unforeseen issues with Hill as the season starts. I don't think that will happen...but remember...all we have seen is the Summer League and a few preseason games. If he is coming along well after the first 15 games then I think its fine to start talking about either moving Vaughn out or to more of a Dallas/Avery Johnson role where he is doing more coaching than playing.
Vaughn might have changed my opinion tonite..he scored 2 points..ummmm..NO!!!! Anyway..I grew up on punk rock music u guys...punk...44..Gervins old number..boy..I still feel young..ok losers????
So you judge him on a meaningless preseason game?
Genius...
I can break down your comment and tell what's wrong with everything in it, but it's easier to say you're a jackass.
Dude..I previously stated his pathetic career playoff stats..this preseason game is basically his career in a nuts ...ohh ..I FORGOT HIS LEADERSHIP qualities..MY BAD!
I'd cue up the DVD Rewinder motivator for your bull and jackassery, but I think it'd offend the motivator.
Interesting that JV, in a non-scoring role, is criticized. Few notice that, for instance, versus the Cavaliers Thursday:
*In JV's first stint, the Spurs trailed by 6 when Jacque entered the game but were up by 1 when he went to the bench.
* In JV's second shift, the Spurs were up 5 and when Jacque went out, they were up 12.
* and in JV's 3rd segment of floor time, the Spurs were up 14 and he left as Green sunk a couple of FTs to go up 16 points on the Cavs.
A steady floor leader can be an enabler...regardless of the stats. That's all I'm saying.
Agreed as always.
One just has to look to his solid leadership and his great role in that 07 championship why hes still a Spur.
