Also since you already have another cat in the same living quarters (I think that's what I understood from your story), if the other cat's vaccinations aren't up to date, the kitten can become very susceptible to anything the other cat might be carrying. Be sure to get it checked out as soon as you can Veronica.

The kitten has been in our house since he was about six weeks old, when my roommate brought him home from a friend's home, and has never been outdoors.

My roommate's other cat is current on her shots.
