I'm not saying that it was the right thing to do, just that I could understand the line of thinking. I would like to think that she doesn't drink at work or take advantage of the patients, but that kind of stuff happens a lot in those communities. If she has previously displayed good judgment in the workplace then she probably should have just gotten some sort of verbal warning and that would be it. I imagine there was probably some pressure from the families of patients, though that's just an inference.

If she was drunk to the extent of memory loss, I'd venture to say she'd also be too drunk to sneak to the bathroom and have consensual sex with a complete stranger. And the fact that she's pulling the roofie card, but isn't following up on any charges, only further shows that she obviously doesn't harbor a whole lot of ill will towards her partner in crime.

I think the fact that she is not pressing charges indicates that she's just making excuses. If there were 15 people in the bathroom all hearing/witnessing the incident I'm sure there are plenty of folks available who can testify to whether or not it appeared consensual.

That is what I mentioned above and no one responded. That law makes little sense to me because often both people are intoxicated- like at college parties. And if the law specifically relates to drunk women not giving consent then what about gay males?
