    That's correct.

Sam is definitely the driver of the Bonner bandwagon.

I gave Bonner plenty of love last season expecting that he would turn the corner then, but he just spat in my face.

Glad to see he's finally getting it.

I said this as soon as I heard about this deal, but Bonner will see some oppurtunities here. My initial thought was an absolute Danny Ferry clone.

6'10 but perimeter orientated, hustling type who would get under your skin by just trying harder than you. Also, he is white .

He will see some open looks with Timmy drawing the doubles, and dish outs from our penetrating guards, San Antonio is a pretty good fit for him because the strong team defense should be able to hide a fair bit of his defensive problems. He will have a lot of games where he goes 5/6 3/4 4/6 on FG's and will more than likely be a coaches and teammates favourite.

    Nice player to have around.
He's a little over 2 years late in doing these things, but he is doing them

Dude all I know is you don't have on Sam. (I think he was the one with the inside Bonner info although I may be confusing him)

I rocked my "Bonner Christ" sig a long time ago but I can't seem to find the graphic anymore. I'll probably need to rephotoshop it at some point.

In any event, any of you claiming to be be the driver of the Bonner Bandwagon are funny.
One doesn't have to have insider info on someone to have been their fan since they came to the team, nor do you need to claim to be the driver of a bandwagon that will empty again as soon as Bonner misses a shot. Time will tell who the real Bonner lovers are.

I was playfully attesting to the lack of Bonner love so recently, not a knock on longtime Bonner fans who arent around right now or lurking.

So who is going to step up and take the blame when one of the nine Bonner threads around here jinxes him into bad game next time out?

    this guy.
First, let me start by saying I dedicate this post to "z0sa". Actually, let me rephrase. I dedicate this post to textually obliterating "z0sa".

I was formerly known as "TheAuthority" on this board awhile ago, before I got banned for... wait, I'm not sure why I was banned. I guess the moderators had an inferiority complex.

Anyway, let the record show z0sa was on Horry's nuts along with the rest of the board. Let the record also show I was calling for Bonner to get Horry's minutes, early.

I will conclude with this, a post made by z0sa, the self-proclaimed 'only Bonner fan who is not a bandwagoner':

Jump back on that bandwagon, bro!

Can we say, fairweather fan? Can we say... owned?? GG -- NNEXT!

PS: Off topic, but looking back at my old posts, it's amazing how right I was most of the time and how wrong everyone else was. Ime Udoka, Matt Bonner, Robert Horry. Spot on.

Amare for Bonner, straight up. I don't care if the salaries don't match.

No, but can you imagine Bonners numbers in a D'Antoni system? Dude would be getting 15+ ppg, and be considered a defensive specialist.

Exactly. I don't even see any of the names of the people who claim to be Bonner's number one fan in the original thread when the Spurs traded for Bonner. Like I said in that thread, Bonner was one of my favorite players even before the trade and I liked the idea of him starting at center next to TD.

I also have to give myself props for saying Bonner's rebounding would improve. Since coming from Toronto, he went from averaging ~6 rebounds per 40 minutes to about 9.5 rebounds per 40 minutes.

Seriously though, I'm glad Bonner has finally got his chance. After it looked like Pop gave up on him and Bonner gave up on himself, I thought his time with the Spurs was over. Once in the doghouse that far, hope seemed lost because there's no precedence of a player finding his way back into Pop's good graces.

Thankfully it looked like I gave up on the Pop and Bonner relationship too soon and Bonner can go back to role I first envisioned of him.
    oh yeah?

I saw video clips of Bonner playing on a nerf hoop when he was 8 years old and was a huge fan back then.

I just knew that one day he'd physically grow to an NBA height and be a valuable addition to the Spurs.
