The Suns WERE stupid to underestimate RMJ.
I am also sure Richardson knew who he "was". However, I'm also sure if Porter told Richardson Mason is a 47% shooter this season and will drop 3's on them if left open, Richardson wouldn't have helped on Parker for no reason to leave Mason wide open.
I don't think the players pay as much attention to other teams/players as one would think. If you were to poll every Suns player before they started to prepare for the game and ask them who the starting SG is for San Antonio, guarantee at least 7 of them don't say Roger Mason.
Btw everyone, just wanna point out I'm here to take my lumps like any loyal fan should. Pitiful loss that should not have even come down to the last 4.3 seconds. Amare simply cannot score with his back to the basket which he showed when that was all Duncan was allowing him to do.
The Suns REALLY REALLY need a backup PG.
That shot was amazing! I was the only Spurs fan watching in a room full of shouting and high five-ing suns fans and when Mason hit the shot....BOOM, those losers hunched down like they were collectively kicked in the nuts! Merry Christmas Arizona!
Definitely one X'mas that Spurs fans and Suns fan will remember for years to come.. It sounded like all the air had been sucked out of the arena..Now, if only Bonner can do something the same in some future game, that would really blow some people's mind and maybe he'd finally get some respect
Lucky for me I'm Jewish.....so this Christmas game is just one of many heartbreaking Suns losses that I'll eventually forget about
