Ariza is gonna get resigned no matter what. It affects Odom significantly. If he takes a cut I think he comes back.
This was a good trade but I'm still@ LA fans saying Morrison has potential.
More than Radman does.
Who knows, if he does comeback, he has major potential. 28 ppg average ain't easy to do at any level.
But he can just as likely sit on the DNP-CD list.
Having more potential than Radman is like having less cholesterol problems than Cheney.
and w/ the economy the way it is, those rings are getting cheaper![]()
Shannon Brown could be the x-factor in the trade. He's really strong and athletic, so perhaps he could be what Ariza is at the guard position.
AM will be good..but I'm not going to have high expectations just yet...he definitely needs to find his shot again.
He just may be. I didn't think much of the Ariza trade when it happened...who the is Trevor Ariza? But wow, that was a steal.
Yah, I'm not keeping my hopes up too high but the potential is there for another steal.
As long as Morrison hit's 3's its a fair trade. If he contributes anything more than that its icing on the cake.
The bright lights of LA could make these guys play a little better, harder
He has the skills and 100x better basketball IQ than Rad. With Kobe/Pau/Bynum taking all the pressure, he just has to shoot.
He's definitely a lucky SOB. He goes from the Bobcats to a championship contender playing in Hollywood.
If that don't wake you up, nothing will.
Exactamundo, that's the key word. In Charlotte he was the #3 overall selection, hand-picked by his Airness--expectations he ultimately could not live up to. In LA he's maybe the 7th option...absolutely no pressure and a key opportunity to reinvent himself
I'm starting to love this trade.
Yah, he's a last option with the chance to restart his career without His Airness, the media looking over his shoulder. If something's wrong with the Bobcats, it's AM/Jordan's pick. Anything goes on with LA, it's Kobe/Pau/Bynum/Odom ... Farmar ... Sun Yue. .. Morrison.
Let's face it, Phil and Rad didn't see eye to eye, that wasn't going to change for the "Space Cadet".
IF he returns to anything like his 28ppg average, the Lakers have just added probably the best shooter to the team since Glen Rice.
And if he doesn't, nothing lost and money saved.
morrison and brown just went from basketball purgatory to the NBA Finals
Agreed. He can't be possibly a step down defensively than Vlad. They r prolly about the same.
With Kobe and Pau all he needs to do is hit shots. Plus he's a former 28 ppg scorer in college, so i got to believe if he's open he can hit shots at a high clip. He hasnt had teammates like this EVER so his job became a lot easier. We're no asking him to play like the 3rd pick here so hopefully he can just settle in. Getting rid of Vlads propensity for making low bball IQ plays is also a plus. Given that we don't have a shooter at the SF position I think Morrisson has a good shot to get some minutes. Im not so sure about Brown tho seing as were full in the backcourt. Maybe he can be a defensive specialist in certain situations
Like when Fisher/Farmar are being torched by Tony Parker, CP3, Aaron Brooks, DWill, Jameer Nelson, Steve Blake, Rajon, Beno .... ?

I wonder what Kobe's words to Shannon Brown will be considering Brown fouled Kobe out in that game
Enough with the bold letters !!!!!!
well damn sons ... the Lakers are turning into the Jazz with all these honkies on the team
