I think the Suns should be grateful that they lost as much as they did to such an amazing team, and three times to the eventual champs!
Last year's NOLA team had the second best record in the Conference. Chandler and West both provided a formidable inside game. In fact, Chandler's Alley Oop dunks had us Spurs fans sick to our stomachs. We couldn't seem to stop it.
What changed is that Pop decided to take away Peja by putting Bowen on him. That neutralized the perimiter game while the Spurs bigs finally made David West work for his baskets. He was left entirely too open and we really didn't show him enough respect until it was almost too late.
They didn't just beat us, the humiliated us on our home court during the regular season. They played aggressive and they played physical. I'm not sure why you think last year's team was soft.

This article is one dude's take.
San Antonio is no longer in our heads. Every contender in the league is in our heads. I can't recall the last time we beat the New Orleans Hornets or the Los Angeles Lakers.
True, but the Spurs still have championships that have gone right through the lakers
I think that's because they're not confident they can gets stops against teams when the games get close. Naturally, against the better 'contenders,' the games get closer at the end and sometimes come down to who gets the stop and bucket. Let's just hope for the Suns' sake that they're ahead by 20 every game in the playoffs. Or that the acquisition of Shaq magically gives them some defensive swagger.
we own steve nash and the suns so nasty and so bad we literally walk them around on ing leashes
