if i had to pick one team or the other i'd pick San Antonio. i just cant see why some Spur fans think its gonna be such an easy series when Dallas has already shown they can knock them off
The point is that you don't say stuff like that around this time of the year, and especially during the stretch run where they might miss the playoffs
Dallas is a good team but not what they were. Were we to play them this year in the playoffs I would be very confident that we would win that series. Barea talking will only help our players stay focused.

I hope we play Dallas. The only teams we want to avoid are Utah and Denver. I know what people say about Denver, but they are wrong...trust me you do NOT want to play them.

Yeah, rox should avoid utah in first round, but Denver has NO answer for Yao....Portland looks tired, so they might be a favorable matchup. Mavs are a favorable matchup for everyone, but if suns get in, they will be dangerous.
Dude Denver WILL beat us in a 7 game series seriously i don't know whats so hard to understand about that. Billups is capable of anything in the playoffs and they have one of the most potent scorers in the game, Melo. Did you remember the last game we squeaked out? Yea we are 3-1 with them but that is extremely MISLEADING. JR Smith getting hot would be the end of us in any game. Trust me, i was saying this about the Jazz in 07 too and people didn't believe me. Denver has ALOT of way to take Yao out of his game, Birdman + Nene are more than capable defenders
The Mavericks would be a horrible first up series for the Spurs, especially while they are integrating Ginobili and Gooden into the mix. That affects Mason, Bonner and Hill heavily, so basically there is 5 players who are getting used to new roles on the team.
Dirk is always a horrible matchup for the Spurs, Terry shoots well against them and Josh Howard suddenly turns into Larry Bird against the Spurs and makes jumpshots like they are layups.
I still think the Spurs would win, but it would be a minimum 6 game series, and it's certainly possibly that Dallas could cause an upset.
The whole piling it on the Mavs thing has gone way overboard. The West is so even right now, were capable of beating anyone not named the lakers. Not saying we will, but it's a possibility. No one should be that upset by anything JJ Barrea says anyway, as he will have little influence on the outcome of a series.

The mavs are a terrible match-up for the spurs, every spurs fan should know this, and dallas might not win that series but the spurs absolutely do NOT want to face the lakers after going to 6 or 7 games with the mavs. Their chance of winning would drop drastically
